Mosin Nagant M9130 M38 M44 T53 Universal Fit Scout Scope Mount by Brass Stacker

Scope your Mosin while preserving its historic integrity.

Initially designed for the Finnish M39, this Scout Scope Mount also works as an "universal fit" for most milsurp Mosin Nagant variants.

Our original Scout Mount (model MN9130SSM) accommodates the vast majority of M9130's but not all.

Some M9130's either do not have the typical two pins holding the rear sight block to the barrel or those pins are soldered in place. In addition, these same pin holes may not both be the same distance from bore centerline resulting in an unacceptable degree of "pitch" when the mount is installed. Lastly, the rear sight block of the M9130 may not run parallel with the bore axis creating excessive mount "yaw".

If your rifle has the above issues, the Universal Fit Anchor Point mount will work for you.

Like our very successful Mauser Mount, this mount features the proven Anchor Point concept of attachment by utilizing the recoil lug and rear sight ladder pivot hole. It will fit the M9130, M9159, M44, M38, T53 or M53

FEATURES:

Product provides for mounting of scout scope or other long eye relief (LER) optics to Mosin Nagant rifles without the need to drill and tap the receiver or make any permanent modifications to firearm. It is designed to use the recoil lug attachment point and rear sight ladder pivot attachment point allowing for the continued use of the original fixed/iron sights.

SPECIFICATIONS:

The mount will accommodate a front to back (horizontal) distance of 4.38" (111.1 mm) to 6.16" (156.4 mm) from the center of the recoil lug to the center of the rear sight block ladder pivot. It also allows for an up and down (vertical) distance of 2.05” (52.0 mm) to 2.53” (64.3 mm) from the same. The rear sight riser block is designed to fit over rear sight blocks that measure a maximum of .77” (19.5 mm) wide. The total weight including hardware is 9.5 oz. However, the net weight increase is only 8.7 oz. due to the replacement of the original recoil lug bar and nut.

INCLUDED: Hex body spanner wrench for recoil lug nut IS included. All necessary hardware, hex wrenches and complete installation instructions.

FITMENT NOTES:

We have made every reasonable effort to ensure that this product will fit the majority of Mosin Nagant rifle variants. However, due to the large number of these firearms produced over many years around the world, it is impossible for us to allow for all manufacturing variation. As with any of our products, it may be returned undamaged for a full refund. The mount can only accommodate so much misalignment. You should measure the center distances as described in the SPECIFICATIONS to ensure that the mount will fit properly. Proper tightening of all hardware should result in no movement of the mount during normal firing recoil.

Any scope or mount that suffers an impact should not be trusted to be accurate. If you feel your mount has been compromised you can still use your original open iron sights.
