Fit perfectly and allowed view of the sights after installation. That is a very nice feature as I have Picatinny type quick disconnect mount for my scope. When I take it off, I can easily see the sights.

The short review? Perfect! The long review? I have been looking for a picatinny rail for a Ruger 10/22 where once an optic is removed, using Quick Disconnect mounts, the original iron sights can still be used without having to remove the Picatinny rail. THIS ONE IS PERFECT! As popular as the Ruger 10/22 is, if you want to mount an optic, or choose manual backup sights in a pinch, this is the rail to have. PERIOD.

I don't know how this works with the sights on a regular Ruger 10/22, but on the 10/22 Takedown version with a factory-threaded barrel, it is no problem at all to use the iron sights trough the channel in the middle of the rail, unlike the Ruger rail which came with the rifle. The see-trough rail also seems to comply with the picatinny standard, with wide enough groves to accept my first generation Zeiss Z-point, which has a too wide stop bar to work in most weaver rails.

I purchased this low profile mount after the one my 10/22 came with didn't allow for use of iron sights unless I un-mounted it. I mounted this, put on a scope and first shots were only about 4 inches off. This is clean milled (no nicks or cuts on it) and it fits nice and tight to the receiver of the 10/22. I even painted it and my scope camo to match the color of my stock and it looks perfect.
