    An excellant rimfire scope

This scope is really clear and has a thin line that's great for rimfire. You can see clearly up to 9X. The lines on the scope aren't too much, so you can focus on the main middle line. It's perfect for the long range of the 17HMR.

I have many Leupold VX-Freedom Rimfire Scopes, and they show things really clearly. I own different types of them. They're good for the money you pay. I just wish they came in different colors and finishes. I also miss the old lens covers they used to give. Some other companies made their products cheaper and not as good. I only buy Leupold now because they're the best. Their team helps a lot if you have problems, and they promise to fix things if they break.

I wanted a great scope for my RPRR. I wanted it to have clear vision, an easy-to-see marker, and be well-made. The Leupold scope had all these things. But, after using it a few times, it broke. A part of it came loose during a game. But, Leupold's team was really helpful and fixed it for me. Now, it's working even better on my RPRR than before. It's the perfect scope for my needs.

I own three of these scopes (two being 2-7x33 and the other one)... the clarity of the lens is top-notch, and the rimfire reticle is straightforward to navigate. I zero my .22s at 100 yards using subsonic ammo and can accurately target objects the size of a dollar bill up to 220 yards... gauging distances within 150 yards with the reticle is a breeze. I use it on my Tactical Solutions X-Ring Takedown rifle.

I've recently set up this scope on my Model 52C, using a sleek EGW cantilever rail. The scope didn't miss a beat, allowing me to achieve single-hole groupings at an initial 25yd distance. Once I measure the speed of the match ammo through the 28" barrel, the MOA reticle will be even more beneficial, helping me determine the drops and distances for each reticle element. Note: I have no ties with Leupold, but I've been a loyal user of their products for many years. When I compare this Freedom scope's price to the Mark5HD and mil-spec (Mk248 Mod0) Mark4 scopes on my high-power rifles, it's a refreshing difference. It seems to offer outstanding value for its cost.

It's all about the great glass

I've owned several budget-friendly scopes (below $100) for my .22 LR rifles. This time, I thought of investing a bit more for superior quality, and I wasn't let down. This scope is paired with my standard Ruger 10/22 Sporter that has a French walnut stock. I've mounted it quite low using Weaver medium rings on the original Ruger rail. The 40mm bell clears the barrel effortlessly, though it needs a slight forward adjustment to avoid the folded rear sight. I opted for a 3-9 scope since my usual .22 LR shots range between 25 and 100 yards. Pros: The clarity and brightness of the glass are notably better than my previous scopes. The edges are sharp, and it retains focus even at extended ranges. The rimfire reticle is top-notch with the right width for the crosshairs. The MOA reticle's holdovers are spot-on, making the reticle a standout feature. The scope retains its zero and was straightforward to adjust. It's lightweight and, in my opinion, enhances the look of my 10/22. Cons: It has a fixed parallax set at 60 yards. This means focusing on objects closer than about 30 yards isn't optimal due to the nature of fixed parallax scopes. The turret adjustments feel a bit soft and lack a premium touch. The eye relief could have been better. However, the positives overshadow the negatives for me. I usually adjust my scopes once and leave them, so the soft turrets won't bother me much. I mostly shoot beyond 25 yards, so the 60-yard fixed parallax isn't a significant concern. It's not like I'm aiming for 500-yard shots with a .22. The superior glass quality and MOA reticle make it an ideal choice for rimfire rifles within standard hunting ranges. Set the zero at 50 and adjust for 100.

    Good Scope

    Location:

I recently set up this rimfire model with the MOA reticle on my Ruger custom shop 10-22. It's the kind where you set it once and leave it be. The adjustment dials feel a bit vague, and it's hard to sense the initial click after shooting. However, the scope itself is impressive. The clarity for its price is outstanding, and it genuinely surprised me. Now, you might wonder why I'd use an MOA scope on a 22 LR. But here's the thing: shooting the Ruger at 50 yards was almost too easy, with shots practically merging into one. Even at 100 yards, it was straightforward. When I pushed to 150 yards, things got interesting. The match ammo I used (got a sweet deal from SG ammo) didn't list its ballistics. After some online research, I found a 21.6 drop at 150 yards. Holding 14 MOA above the target, I took the shot and was amazed by the result. The wind's influence on the bullet was evident, making the next two hours a thrilling experience. I experimented with different wind conditions and ended up shooting way more than I planned.

I first saw it at a show in 2018 and was curious about it. So, I got one to test out. This new scope is meant to be better and cheaper than their older models. It has some cool new features like a new symbol, a better magnification dial, and clearer markings. I compared it to an older model I have, and I like the new one more. It's perfect for my 22lr rifle. The scope is waterproof and comes with a lifetime warranty. When you buy it, it comes in a simple box with some papers and cards. I've been using it a lot and it's been great. If you're looking for a good scope without spending too much, this might be the one for you.

It's made of strong material, is lightweight, and has a clear view. I tried it on my Ruger American rimfire rifle, and it worked great! The scope helps you aim accurately, and it's perfect for shooting targets from different distances. It's also waterproof and fog-proof. The best part? It's made in the USA and is priced reasonably. I've used many Leupold scopes before, and they've always been good. If you're looking for a new scope, I'd recommend this one. Hope you found this helpful!

Please put it on a Ruger Precision Rimfire with a P.E.P.R. mount. Clear glass and easy adjustments. No problems at all. The 3-9x was not the overkill I thought it might be.
