Customer Ratings & Reviews
For years I have wished my Glock 26 Gen 3 had a larger magazine release button. The grip is thick, and the mag release is tiny. That always required me to adjust my grip in order to manipulate the mag release button. That alone was my only gripe about my Gen 3 G26. Not willing to part with this gun and not willing to purchase a Gen 4 just for the larger mag release, I began looking for a solution. There are a ton of aftermarket products out there for Glocks, and the magazine release is one of them. After looking at MANY, somehow I stumbled upon GHOST INC. When I saw their design of the Low-Pro Magazine Release, I knew it was what I was looking for all along. It stayed low to the grip yet extended back toward my thumb. Being made of polymer didn't bother me, as polymers these days are super strong and durable. I ordered that part. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the piece. Installation was a snap, but it did take some force to get the actual button to snap into place. But that's a good thing. Once it was installed and I began to manipulate the mag release, I fell in love with my old G26 Gen 3 all over again. This small product from GHOST INC. made a huge improvement to my EDC handgun. All I can say is that if you own a Gen 3 Glock and want a better magazine release, GET THIS PART.
This Ghost glock mag release is a Go
Don't hesitate. Buy this extended mag release. I put it on my G27, and what a difference—fast shipping and super easy to install.
This Glock gen 3 mag release is Phenomenal
With my short thumbs, it definitely achieved the goal I was going for! It has helped me drop my mag on reloads without adjusting my grip. Definitely recommend enhancing your assurance for reloading!
The Ghost lo pro mag release is a Game Changer
I bought this product to replace the extended mag release with the paddle that I had on my G17. I have medium, but thin hands, and so the previous mag release extended to far away from the gun and poked into my support hand. After changing to I bought this product to replace the extended mag release with the paddle that I had on my G17. I have medium but thin hands, and so the previous mag release extended too far away from the gun and poked into my support hand. After changing to the Low-Pro Mag Release, my support hand can now bear down completely on the handle without interference. I did not realize how much this would help to get the gun more stable for trigger pull...Now it doesn't poke into my support hand palm, and the paddle allows my grip hand to not shift at all on reloads - a game changer for me.the Low-Pro Mag Release, my support hand can now bear down completely on the handle without interference. Better than standard, but not as good as others...Let me explain
Overall the Low profile Mag release does what I need it to do. It fit perfectly and is sturdy enough for my usage on my EDC G19 Gen3. The thumb pad provides a better surface area to apply pressure and is nicer to the touch. Even with it off, it will still function. That said, here are my takeaways. It is made of plastic. Great for light weight, but I like the other Aluminum models out there. The pad is attached and retained via plastic clip. It was tough to put in and it'll be tough to pull out, but is not as secure as the aluminum models that use a screw. It is a good height. Most of the aluminum models are extended and for EDC-CC, they dig into the skin; but this is taller than the standard height. I would prefer slightly lower, but I'm good with it. Is it worth the money? Yes, the stock stinks, and that's why, IMHO, people buy aftermarket in the first place.
