glock 43 extended mag release
Perfect companion for my g43. Easy install
Best glock 43 extended magazine release
I had to replace this part on my Gen 3 G19 as well (not sure why Glock has an obsession with making the mag release impossible to operate comfortably, but sadly Glock does not have a factory extended mag release for the G43, so I had to search elsewhere. I didn't want a metal mag release, and so I ended up here. Have to say I was/am not the biggest fan of the change Glock made to the mag release post-Gen 3, but the way Ghost engineered this piece makes it quite easy to operate. Would recommend 10/10.
Glock 43 mag release extension
Better shaped to prevent snags, more comfortable to reach. A must-have for Glock 43.
extended mag release Glock 43
Why Glock insists on making their mag releases almost flush with the frame is beyond me. For a carry gun like the Glock 43, I get why that might be good. However, in practice, it just gets in the way. The Ghost mag release is similar to the Vickers mag release but better in my opinion. Neither is a replica of the factory mag release in that both have kind of a curved shape to them. However, the Vickers is a perfect radius and, to me, feels odd. The Vickers, being convex, doesn't fit the thumb all that well. The Ghost, being a bit concave towards the rear, lends itself to better ergonomics and feels better to me. It's one of those "best of all worlds" things. It doesn't protrude so much that it interferes with any of my holsters (e.g., Hyve), but its a night and day difference when compared to the stock mag release. You can tell some thought went into this. Another part from Ghost that Glock should consider making standard equipment.

If you want to use your slide stop as a slide release, the stock part just isn't going to let that happen. With virtually no texture and recessed into the frame, it's impossible. Pretty much the only options are this part from Ghost or the Vickers (Tango Down) part. I tried the Vickers... Their design, coupled with the way Glock designed the piece, means the slide stop can slide laterally into the frame and can interfere with the rounds feeding from the mag. A problem... The Ghost slide stop is designed such that this is all but impossible. I generally think this is a much better design overall. However, only four stars because it's still a little hard to operate. The bump or bubble they stamp into it is about the perfect size, but it's round and very smooth. So, it still takes a pretty deliberate and thoughtful action to get the slide to release. A more pronounced ledge on top might help (think like, a backward seven vs. the c shape it has now). That said, this is still the very best option anyone has for a decent slide stop for the Glock 43.
Glock 43 extended mag release
A five-minute fix, a better CCW. Just enough to easily manipulate, not too much to interfere with drawing or reholstering. I have installed several Ghost upgrades on my G43. I consider all of them essential to making a good weapon better. Customer service is outstanding.
