This plate is for standard dovetail cuts. For OSP models, use an OSP-specific mounting plate.
Installation Instructions for the Springfield XD Red Dot Mount
- Remove the rear sight*
- Install the EGW Sight Mount in the dovetail
- Tighten set screw (if applicable)
- Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount
(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)
- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws
- Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbs
2 Button Head Cap Screws - Provided for Vortex Viper and Venom Sights
2 Flat Head Cap Screws - Provided for Burris FastFire and Docter Sights
The screws that are included with this mount require a 5/64'' allen wrench for installation.
Modification of your firearm may nullify the manufacturer's warranty.

Have always trusted EGW for my shooting hardware. It was difficult to find a reflex sight mount for my Springfield XDe and as with all their hardware it fit as described for the instrument and purpose it was intended for. The Vortex Viper and the two included screws fit perfectly atop of the mount. Although the price may be higher than other sight mount brand, this is the only one I found for my pistol. Searched on-line and found that many retailers will sell you the same item close to, if not more, than the manufacturer. Easy to fit with the use of a sight pusher tool.

This red dot mount for my xd mod 2 and the fit is just great. No fitting necessary but a good tight fit. The Vortex Venom fits perfectly. I'm sure I'll get excellent service from this mount, as I have from previous EGW mounts.

This is a ONE piece mount so I can have a Vortex Venom XD mod 2. It's advertised for the XD dovetail, but it also fits the XDM. They have one-piece mounts for other red dots also. This mount also fits the Doctor and Burris FastFire. MSP has great customer service and fast shipping.
