The stock and forend give my mossberg 500 a completely different and badass look, the only issue I had was the forend wrench broke while trying to take the nut off, other than that I love the new look, feel and function of the gun.

I put a Knoxx Gen 2 stock on my Mossberg 500 some years back and it’s one of the best upgrades I’ve ever bought for any firearm I own. It take almost all of the recoil and lift out of shooting my shotgun and improves control dramatically.

It was easy to install the stock. The forend was a little difficult to install only because of the plastic tool that comes with it. This was the first time I had removed the forend, and it was really on there. The plastic tool that came with the kit broke. Good thing I had scrap metal and was able to make my own by buying a metal tool. Otherwise, it's a smooth stock and handles even a three-inch slug and makes it looks great!

I thought I had reviewed this. I must have been mistaken. Anyway, I got my Maverick 88 out and put some rounds through it with this stock. I wasn't expecting much as I had heard mixed reviews on it. I can tell you this though, This stock works! I was able to shoot far more than ever before without getting sore or fatigued. The Blackhawk knoxx SpecOps gen 3 Mossberg 500 is a very durable material. Now my shotgun has a light and a 6 round side-saddle. Overall length with an 18" barrel is now 37". If you are going to add magazine tube extenders, the forend will go 1.5" past the stock endcap, so keep that in mind. I will be putting on a one-shot extender with a quick detach stud.

Just got in the mail today, pretty simple to install. I haven't tested yet. Seems legit. Retaining ring remover seemed cheesy, barely was able to remove and re-install pump grip?. If I had to repurchase it at this point, I would.

I read some of the negative reviews for this gun and don't understand how someone would have a hard time installing these accessories on a Remington 870. I also saw complaints of the tool that comes for the fore-end, that tool worked perfectly for removing my stock fore-end. I installed everything in under 15 minutes, and I'm by no means a mechanical guy. The instructions are clear, but if you're having issues check out Youtube. Great accessories for the best price on the internet.

The Blackhawk Knoxx Specops Gen 3 stock for the Mossberg 500 is an exceptional substitute. It absorbs a lot of the recoil. Very forgiving. It was effortless to install. Just need to watch a YouTube video to disassemble the old Mossberg 500 Stock, and the included instructions are sufficient to complete the process. I want to get another one for my Remington 870.
