The TactLite stock comes with a thin pad suitable for 5.56 or 300 Blackout caliber firearms, but for a .308 caliber, a thicker pad is desirable. The Razorback II is a better option for a shotgun, as it provides more cushioning. The Razorback is a great middle-ground option, as it has a thickness that is not too thin or too thick; it is just right.

In my opinion, the X1 TactLite Recoil Pad Upgrade Kit is slightly overpriced, but it does its job well, and it looks good on the stock. If you chose the TactLite Stock because it is lightweight, consider if the additional weight of this recoil pad is something you want. Otherwise, it is a good option.

I cannot provide a fair assessment of the X1 TactLite Recoil Pad Upgrade Kit as I installed it on a brand new stock, and I have never fired it without the recoil pad. However, the first time using it, I shot half a box of hot 44 magnum rounds and did not experience any discomfort. The hot loads had a significant recoil but with the pad installed, I did not feel it. Without the pad, the recoil would have been noticeable.

The X1 TactLite Recoil Pad Upgrade Kit from ATI Outdoors is an outstanding product that exceeded my expectations. The installation process was straightforward, and the instructions provided, both in the packaging and online, were straightforward and easy to follow. The pad is the perfect size and thickness to fit comfortably in the shoulder pocket and effectively reduce recoil. The pad's design does not detract from the overall look of my stock but enhances it. I paired the 1-inch Butt Stock Pad with the Elite Stock for my AK-47, and I am incredibly pleased with the result. The combination of the pad and stock greatly reduced recoil and made shooting much more comfortable. Because of this, I am now considering adding the 2-inch version of the pad to my Remington 870 12 Gauge Tactical for even more recoil reduction. The Butt Stock Pad looks great, fits perfectly, and performs exceptionally well. I highly recommend it to anyone. It is a great product, and I am delighted with my purchase. I would give it 5 stars.
