I like the quality of FAB defense products. It is sleek and feels better than my larger Magpul. The Vanguard handguard needs modifications to fit on a Ruger AR556 with an A2 sight. It is a very tight fit and will need to be filed down a bit for it to work. Once you figure out the fit and slowly file the handguard under the A2 sight, it fits nicely. I knew modifications were needed when I purchased it, thought I'd take a chance for $36.00, glad I did! I would like to try the FAB Defense AR-15 Polymer 3 Rail Handguard in OD, it looks like it might fit without mods.

If you're in need of a carbine handguard with an "F" marked front sight, the FAB Defense M-LOK handguard is a great choice. It has plenty of M-LOK slots for attaching accessories, as well as internal heat shields and a large gripping surface. You can even add a Magpul M-LOK Offset light/optic mount in the forward slot without compromising your grip style. The handguard also comes with two QD sockets, although you will need to use a punch to remove the sling swivel. Contrary to some of the reviews I had read, I found the installation process to be very easy and didn't require any dremeling. The OD green color of the handguard is a near perfect match for Magpul OD green accessories. I would love to see FAB Defense release a gray version of this handguard, as well as a mid-length version. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase and would definitely give FAB Defense a thumbs up.

I absolutely love the FDE color of this ar 15 handguard, as it matches my Magpul FDE accessories perfectly. The handguard itself is very slim and lightweight, adding no extra weight to my rifle. Despite its slim profile, it is made of thick, high quality material that gives it a premium feel. In my opinion, the FAB Defense handguard is even more premium than the Magpul version. It also looks great paired with my FAB Defense pistol grip and GL-shock stock. I only wish that FAB Defense offered more handguard options in the carbine length, as I think this handguard really makes my rifle look amazing. If I could, I would love to show you pictures of how great it looks on my rifle.

After using a cheese grater style handrail for a while, I found that it wore on my hands during extended range sessions. I needed something that I could grip comfortably for longer periods of time, so I decided to try the FAB Defense handrail. It was the perfect solution! Installing the handrail can be a bit challenging on your own, so I recommend enlisting the help of a friend. Despite the installation process, I am extremely happy with this handrail and highly recommend it. I am also looking forward to purchasing more attachments and hardware from FAB Defense for my AR.

I love the FDE match, and color matches my Magpul FDE also, very slim and adds no weight to my rifle, this thing is very slim but thick in material, and feel is very premium, fab defense did good on this, and wished they had more ar handguard option for carbine length, this to me is more premium than the Magpul version handguard, FDE color goes perfectly with my fab defense pistol grip and GL-shock stock, my rifle looks awesome wish could up load pictures to show you.

Love the AR 15 Handguard. Fab Defense continues to produce outstanding products. High quality, durable and affordable. Installation was straight forward.The fit and function is perfect. I highly recommend this product. I have other Fab Defense products and they all perform well

I love the Fab Defense pistol grips and buttstocks, but this AR-15 handguard is disappointing. Like the other review, the rear corners on the bottom handguard don't clear the teeth on the barrel nut on my Windham upper. I had to Dremel the rear corners to make it fit. It fits tight now with no wiggle (unlike the loose Magpul it replaced) and feels good. I can hardly see the mods, but it shouldn't have to be that way.

Does not fit the Ruger AR-556. This is due to the bayonet lug being just a few hairs to tall and wide. Had to cut out a slot in the handguard to get it to fit. I do love the look and feel of it, but I would have preferred not having to modify the handguard to get it to fit. Also, like the integrated QD mounts.

Had a cheese grater AR handguard that after a while of range time, would just wear on my hands.. wanted something I can grip for extended periods this fab defense handguard was perfect!!!! I would definitely recommend having another person to help install, as we all know it’s not the easiest to install handrails by yourself! I very much enjoy this hand rail and highly recommend it! Thanks fab! Looking forward to purchasing more attachments and hardware for my AR!!

Wanted to replace oem AR15 handguard to get my hand around the forend. Solid heat shield, 2 qd points. I had to hammer out front sling loop on my rifle but we’ll worth it. Great handguard. I would buy again.
