Just a Marine from the late 60's and early 70's. I prefer a fixed stock like the weapons we had during that time period. It is just a personal preference. Works perfectly for me.....easy install.

Everything is included to swap out a cheap 5-position collapsible stock for this quality solid fixed A2 stock. Took about 10 minutes to have the old junk off, and this new stock firmly in place.

This is a retro-styled A2 stock that happens to hold a 20-round magazine. It has the same lighter matte black color and textured plastic buttpad as A2 old stocks. If you wanted an A2 AR stock with a little more functionality, I would recommend purchasing one. They are expensive (they require a custom mold, so I'm not surprised at the cost), but they are built solidly. I like the clear window so you can check to see if you have a magazine inside. The inside of the stock is a light color so you can see if there is a magazine in it or not quickly. Note that the latch for the trap door on the rear is recessed. If you have thicker fingers, you might not be able to get them in the latch. Also, the trap door only opens one way (to the right).
