I recently got the A1 dissipator Upper, which some of you might remember from a previous video. The next piece, an A1 receiver extension and butt stock assembly, It's made by CMMG. I initially wanted a Vietnam-era butt stock assembly, but they're hard to find now. This one has a matte finish, unlike the glossy finish of the older ones. Comparing it to my original Vietnam-era handguard assembly, the finishes are quite different. Still, CMMG products are great, and this assembly even comes with a spring, buffer, and receiver extension. I've been a fan of CMMG for years and use many of their parts. I chose this because it was one of the few A1 setups available at Brownells. This is another step in my dissipator retro project, and I'm excited to see it come together.

I used this stock kit to complete an A2-style stripped lower receiver, and it was exactly what I needed. There were no problems with the fit, and the finish of the buffer tube and the stock were good. Also, unlike some earlier commenters, I had no problem with the fit of the shoulder pad/storage door assembly. Overall, it was a good addition to my A2-style build.

I wanted something other than the typical tacti-cool adjustable stock and this was just the ticket. Installed easily with all the required parts to convert included. My only gripe: no FDE option to match my handguard and grip.

Good quality, easy to install ar15 stock the only thing it was missing was a QD sling mount which I fixed by purchasing a grovtec QD flush mount and installing it into the stock -drilled out, tapped screwed in, and epoxy. After that it’s a solid stock for the $$!

It looks and feels excellent perfect A1 ar stock with a butttplate that gives the look of an A2 stock. Color is a jet black infused nicely into the polymer giving it an extra touch of sheen and quality. Will definitely buy again.
