Vism Gen II 30mm Cantilever Scope Mount
- GEN II 30mm cantilever scope mount with lightweight upper rings and 45° offset rail. Includes 1" scope inserts.
- Compact Dual Auto-Locking Quick Release Levers to secure the mount to Weaver/ Picatinny/ MIL STD 1913 type rails.
- Scope centerline set to 1.5" above the rail, a popular height for the AR15 platform of firearms.
- Scope mount features a reversible 45° degree offset Picatinny Rail side mount, perfect for those wanting to mount a secondary optic at the 45° offset. The offset side rail can be mounted onto the left or right side of the scope mount or removed all together.
- The GEN II mount is shorter and lighter overall from the previous model. The scope ring spacing has been updated to allow more scope fore and aft adjustment for eye relief fine tuning.

This came with my NcStar 1-6 LPVO. I know I'm at the bottom end of the scope world, but I have to say that both the scope and the mount have proven themselves over about 700 rds through my AR15. I like the height of this mount, and it did take some playing around to get the lever tension just right, but I've had my scope on and off the rifle three times, and to my surprise, it kept zero. Note I pay careful attention to where it's mounted, and since it fits into the slots, it's pretty easy to get it back where it was. Now mind you, I'm not shooting 1/2" groups at 200yds, but for just some range shooting while I learn what I'm doing, I'm very happy with this mount. What sucks is I'd like another, but I'm spoiled because mine came with the scope for about a $20 difference at the time, so it's hard to accept the $60 price for it. I also like the cantilever style, which works great for my gun. It's only aluminum, so you have to be careful when tightening it down; it doesn't seem like it would take too much to break it. Right now it's a decent option if you're not ready to spend $200 on a Midwest Industries mount. Yeah, I know the whole "buy once cry once" deal, but it's hard to spend $200 to mount your $1000 scope on a $600 base AR15. This does the job for now; when I move up, I'll probably sell the gun, scope, and mount as a kit to someone else starting. BTW the additional 45-offset mount is a nice feature, but I don't use it and take it off (note that you can switch it to either side, though).
