The VCOG 1-6x24 Riflescope from Trijicon is an incredibly innovative riflescope which has been specifically fashioned to fulfill the needs of some of the most experienced and demanding shooters. The Trijicon 1-6x24 V is an extremely rugged piece of equipment that allows for close quarter battle and even long distance marksmanship. It comes with light gathering capabilities with minimal to no distortion at all and superior glass quality. The ranging reticles and bullet drop compensating allow for any shooter to both accurately and quickly estimate the overall range and apply the type of correct hold. The Trijicon’s first focal plane reticle allows for the subtensions and drops to remain true throughout any level of magnification. The Trijicon also features a housing which has been produced and forged from 7075-T6 aircraft-aluminum-alloy, which means it’s an exceptionally durable, robust and nearly indestructible sighting system that can take a beating within many different situations and environments.
The VCOG 1-6x24 Riflescope from Trijicon is durable enough for any form of application and utilises just a single AA battery while offering a generous six adjustable brightness settings for the sight’s LED reticle. When powered by a common lithium AA battery (which is provided with this reticle), it boasts an incredible amount of battery life, 700 hours at setting 4 in fact! An integrated dial fin on the reticle allows for easy rotation through the range of magnification settings and a constant eye relief which means no stock or head position adjustments are required. The VCOG 1-6x24 Riflescope from Trijicon is also waterproof up to 20 meters (66 feet) and comes standard with a TA51 mount. It’s also worth mentioning that the reticle is also nitrogen-filled in order to eliminate any form of internal fogging.
The VCOG 1-6x24 Riflescope from Trijicon combines the benefits and advantages of an optical scope and red dot sight, with clear and precise optics in a lightweight, robust package. The red dot is exceptionally easy and quick to acquire, along with a constant four-inch long eye relief which allows for ample flexibility for fast shouldering while under stress and consistent head positioning.
The Bindon Aiming Concept, which is better known as a technique when aiming with both eyes open for optimal sight picture while using the illuminated reticle. This technique can easily be employed with the use of a variable scope. Let’s not forget to mention that the true 1x setting is optimal for quick and hectic situations while the much higher magnification ranges allow for precision work at much greater distances.
While the reticle is set in the first focal plane, it is able to retain its subtensions throughout the entire magnification range, which means holdovers remain true at any type of setting. This completely removes any possible danger of using incorrect wind or drop correction under stress or even when there may be no time to make any form of power adjustments. This particular model from Trijicon is equipped with a unique segmented circle pattern reticle, along with BDC for the AAC Blackout 300 round when using a 115 gr bullet.
