I ordered this ruger american scope mount because I had a hard time to get the right eye relief with the original Ruger mounted from the manufacturer. This rail fits perfectly on my Ruger American .308 can be any happier.

Pretty good ruger american picatinny rail I had to shorten the front of the base, where it hangs over the barrel, in order to get the 3-9x40 scope mounted in low rings.

I replaced the original rail with the EGW Ruger American 20 moa base. My Vortex scope is mounted low, so I was unable to get enough rise to shoot more than 700 meters, even using the reticle. Now I can extend out past 1000 yards if I can ever get good enough to hit that target.

The mount is very well made and the finish nice. Glad EGW made this mount as now I can mount my Aero Precision ULTRALIGHT 30MM SCOPE MOUNT, EXTENDED. The Ruger mount would not allow me to do that. Fit was spot on. And with length of the mount placing my Steiner scope to match my perfect eye relief was no problem.
