Excellent Savage Mk II trigger!
An excellent replacement trigger for the Savage Accutrigger in the Mk II .22LR rifle. The heavy-barrel Mk II came with an Accutrigger that could not be adjusted lighter than 3 lb., too heavy for me for target shooting. The Rifle Basix replacement trigger took less than a half-hour to install, the installation was very straightforward, and the trigger was easy to adjust to a 16 oz. Pull weight. There is no creep in the trigger, but a sear engagement adjustment screw is provided with the replacement trigger if creep is present.
Amazing Savage Mark II Trigger
I have two Mark IIs. The Accu Triggers weren't very light, crisp, or adjustable. The Rifle Basic trigger was an easy install and is just amazing. A little expensive but worth it. Now I have a real target trigger, crisp at 1 1/4 lbs. Purchased a second one.
Makes A Difference
I was hoping you could put this on my M25 chambered in 17 Hornet. The factory accue trigger, when adjusted as light as it would go, was still over three lbs, way too heavy for precision shooting in a "varmint rifle." What was Savage thinking? Installation of the new trigger was straightforward forward and the instructions clear. Trigger now at 1.25 lbs. and group size dropped by 75%. If you have an M25, buy this trigger.
Very nice Savage 93 trigger
No complaints with the 1-1/2 lb. AccuTrigger on my model 12 BVSS but 2 1/2 lb. AccuTrigger made it challenging to shoot indeed "itty-bitty" groups with my heavy barreled 17 hmr. I'm no gunsmith, but I have done quite a few trigger jobs and swap-outs. This trigger is effortless to install and the directions are excellent. I had the new trigger installed in no time and set the pull at 1-1/4 lbs. I can't wait to shoot it and watch those groups shrink! The difference in halving the pull weight is incredible, and I did not detect and creep or over-travel. Very nice trigger; just too bad Savage had not installed the lighter AccuTrigger and saved me the money.
The Rifle Basix trigger replacement is a valuable addition to any target rifle
While building a rimfire rifle to use in the NRA Smallbore Rifle Silhouette competition for the year 2007, I chose one of the new Savage rifles, combining one of their new heavy target barreled actions chambered in 22LR with their new thumbhole stock offered with the 17HMR barreled action. As I prefer a trigger pull weight measured in ounces for this target shooting game, I replaced the Savage Accu-trigger with a Rifle Basix one. This swap-out was simple, and the trigger pull weight was easily adjusted. The rifle now shoots very consistently in the 90 percentile across the silhouette course of fire. The Rifle Basix trigger has performed flawlessly during a 2000 round training period covering a span of two months with a trigger pull weight of nine ounces. The barreled action, thumbhole stock, and Basix trigger combination has shot into the "ONES" from the bench with Federal Gold Medal Premium 711B ammo. In more than forty years of target shooting, I have never fired a better rimfire rifle, including several Anschutz, Remington, CZ, and Ruger target models. The Rifle Basix trigger replacement is a valuable addition to any target rifle used for shooting sports competitions. When one matches the performance enhancement with the price, it is worth every dollar.
Rifle Basix SAV_RAT
I looked at this trigger because I was very disappointed with the Accu trigger the rifle came with. Once I had the trigger installed and properly adjusted, it was a vast improvement and made a real diiference at the range.
