Love this savage 110 replacement trigger
I put one on my savage, and it has done wonders. The amount of adjustments lets me use it for hunting or lighten it up for the range. Its an awesome trigger
Great savage 110 trigger assembly at a great price
Put this on a Savage Axis 223; I tried modifying the factory trigger but still was unsatisfied. I was ready to sell this gun but tried this trigger, and it made a total difference. Easy to install and adjust, and now it is one of my favorite guns.
Greatt improvment
I have several Rifle Basix triggers in use going back some years, and I am very happy with how they do what they do. The latest is in a Savage Axis that I acquired. The axis trigger is by far the worst trigger made. The Rifle Basix trigger is a VAST improvement. I did need to polish the pin it rides on to get a smooth and free movement but it was NOT the trigger's fault. IF YOU PUT ONE IN AN AXIS, Be careful of the safety as Savage used plastic for the contact surface that the adjustment screw touches. As the plastic wears or if you do not test this, you can have a BAD safety problem! With NO ROUNDS IN THE RIFLE, the safety on, pull the trigger, as in testing the safety, it does not go off, BUT WHEN YOU RELEASE THE SAFETY THE GUN GOES OFF, WITHOUT TOUCHING THE TRIGGER!!! Check this when you install on Axis and check it from time to time on Axis!! The trigger is GREAT the Axis trigger/safety design, so-so.
Couldn't be easier.
This savage rifle trigger drops right into place. It's quick and easy to adjust to just the right break. It adjusted to have no over travel at all. The safety adjusted perfectly, and the chance of slam fire was easily eliminated. I'm very happy with this trigger. The old one was like a rusty barn door in my model 11 .308.
Savage replacement trigger is great but.
I picked up an SAV-1 trigger to upgrade from the Accu-Trigger on a model 11. The trigger does not come with the adjustment screws threaded into the trigger; you must do this step yourself. As I was threading the small Trigger Weight Adjustment screw in, it became stuck. I broke two Allen keys (the one supplied and a personal key), trying to free them. I sent a letter to Rifle Basix. They replied very quickly and offered to send out a replacement with no cost shipping (theirs to me and the defective one back to them). They even asked if I wanted a black or silver, which I did not know there was an option. I purchased a black one but asked for a silver replacement. Once I gave them my address, they sent the replacement out that day and kept me updated with a tracking number. I received the replacement and had no issues with installing or adjusting the trigger on my model 11. I have the SAV-1 adjusted to have zero take-ups, a light trigger pull, and next to zero over-travel. Needless to say, it is perfect. Rifle Basix more than made my situation right, and I plan on purchasing another SAV-1 for a model 110 project that I have planned.
Rifle Basix SAV-1 Trigger
rifle basix sav-1 trigger THESE ARE GREAT 5-STAR ALL THE WAY. IT WORKS GREAT IN MY 110 (223) IM WAITING FOR IT TO COME OUT IN STAINLESS FOR MY 12BVSS (22-250). NICE TRIGGER BUTT BECARE-FULL INSTALLING IT. IT ADJUST REALLY LIGHT AND FOR HUNTING YOU WILL WHAT THAT SAFTY. SO GET A DUMMY LOAD & TRY ONE OF THESE OUT
Nice savage trigger
I love my new Rifle Basix trigger. I install it my army savage axis .223 land it fit well. I wish the instruction were a little clearer. I had to get friends to help because this was my first time install and working on a trigger and wasn't familiar with some of the terminology. Nevertheless, once we got everything to fit, it went well. I would recommend Rifle Basix SAV-1 to any one with a savage rifle
