Installation (quick, realistic guidance)

A snug fit is normal and intentional. Hogue’s install sheet recommends warming the sleeve and using an alcohol-based lubricant like window cleaner to help it slide into place.

1. Verify the firearm is unloaded before starting.
2. Warm the sleeve (hot water or a blow dryer can help).
3. Spray an alcohol-based lubricant (window cleaner) on the frame and inside the sleeve.
4. Use two thin plastic “shoehorn” strips (cut from packaging) to help guide the sleeve on.
5. Seat it fully, remove the plastic strips, then check magazine insertion and clearance.
6. After installation, function-check the firearm and test-fire it.
