Customer Ratings & Reviews
Harris 1A2 BRM-6" to 9" Bipod with leg Notches (Rifle Bipod)
The overall rating for the (Harris Bipod) is 5 STARS. I am using the bipod for my Springfield M1A rifle. The notches on the bipod is good where you can adjust the legs at your height.
Harris quality you can expect
I bought a Harris Bipod to go on my daughter's Remington model 7 in 300 BLK to help her steady the gun at the range. I have been a long time fan of Harris products, and as expected, this is a great rifle bipod, and it did not disappoint!
Harris 1a2-brm is a well made rifle bipod
It's a Harris Bipod, which means stout and well made. I have had a 6" friction lock model and now the 9" stepped leg model, and I prefer the latter. It is quicker to deploy and inherently level on a bench. The higher position is more comfortable as I do not have to crouch behind the rifle. A rifle that does not sit level could have an asymmetrical fore-end or perhaps a fore-end profile that does not fit the cradle well. In such cases, a friction lock model might be best to allow finite adjustments.
harris 1a2-brm bipod
Harris is one of the forefront bipod companies for a good reason. This particular model is relatively bare-bones, with no cant or swivel capabilities. Legs auto-extend with the push of a button, and can be fine-tune adjusted to fit the terrain. I wish the rubber footpads gave more traction for loading, but I believe those can be switched out. Overall, satisfied, got what I paid for
harris 1a2 ultralight bipod
Not an Atlas, but not priced like one either. The attachment mechanism seems secure, nice, and light.

I use the Harris 1A2-BRM on every Precision Rifle I own
What can be said about the Harris 1A2-BRM, I use them on every Precision Rifle I own, never fails and made well. Always my first add on for the bench!
Extream well built bipod
I've used My Harris Bipod on rifles from .223 through .460 Weatherby and .50 BMG. These Bipods are extream well built that the sling swivel stud on the .460 sheared off from recoil, but the bipod was fine. It also gave excellent service on my .50 BMGs as well. If you want one for field use, don't buy the leg notch version, get the friction version instead.
premium quality
A Harris Bipod is a premium quality item. When I bought my 1A2-BRM, the "BRM" actually referred to it as a 'bench rest model.' Yes, the tension-leg models are better for uneven surfaces. I like the notches because they allow me to go to the exact same height every time, and I know that both legs are always the exact same length. The notched-leg models have spring-loaded legs, so deployment is fast and positive. It's a very solid Bipod and should be able to support any rifle. I plan to purchase another, so I don't have to transfer it between rifles so much, and I can share when I shoot with a friend. Note: The bottom has a spot where you can attach a QD sling swivel. You don't have to sacrifice your sling to have a bipod, nor do you need a second sling stud.
