This DPM Mechanical Recoil system – Captured Version – it is made for the specific pistol model (with Rod Length 2.9 Inch / 75 mm) and it’s comfortable to install on the frame and assemble the slide with the frame.Description
The above DPM Recoil Reduction System works due to the multi spring intricate rod (three springs) and in some cases the system offer almost double force in the slide at the end of full open position, compared with the factory OEM spring and function like a buffer on the slide. (US PAT. 7,380,487 B2)
From the above effect the slide stops smoothly on the frame and offer’s less recoil.
Further the moving parts of the pistol are protected, offering longer life to the pistol.
Finally this DPM Captured Version is comfortable for the placement on the frame and to assemble the slide with the frame.

Tested the DPM against a tungsten guide rod from another company and noticed a small difference in quicker target acquisition from DPM. of course I’m also running a tac-lite and after market barrel but with the mods I’m happy with DPM recoil system.

I purchased this for my Glock 19 Gen 5 and it runs flawlessly. Feels somewhat like the OEM guide rod but better. The recoil impulse feels different but much smoother and there is a significant ( at least from my subjective feeling ) sensation that it reduced the recoil impulse and definitely helps with faster double taps and tighter groupings on target,.especially with fast follow up shots. Mounts Plus answered all my questions concerning the captured version of this product. Great customer service and shipping.

I really like the spring, especially since it's captured. The spring has a nice weight to it, easy to install since it's captured, and as always built to last. I'm currently using 7 different DPM SYSTEM springs, one happens to be in my duty weapon. Only down side, a little expensive.
