Buffer Technologies CZ-75, 85 Recoil Buffer (Pack of 2)
The CZ recoil buffer will eliminate the metal to metal impact of the slide on the receiver each time the weapon is fired. You will extend the service life of your pistol as well as have reduced felt recoil by installing one in your weapon. Installation is easy and requires no special tools or modification to your gun.

Performed as advertised
Bought this for use in my Witness pistol. The fit was perfect and installed without issue. Although I can't say it makes a huge difference in recoil impulse, I do believe it doesn't hurt anything. I installed this along with heavier recoil spring, and the two together definitely helped. If there is a chance, it will extend the life of my frame; it is well worth the expense—no issues with function while shooting.
This buffer was purchased for my Witness 10mm
This buffer was purchased for my Witness 10mm and was installed at the same time with a 20lb. Wolfe recoil spring and a "new production" EAA 15 rd. Magazine. When testing with conservative 180 gr. Loads, I fully expected functional issues. Worked perfectly! All parts are conveniently purchased from Midway. The obvious decrease in mechanical noise and mellowed the firing impulse noticeably with near maximum loads. Hope the buffer life is as long as advertised. Fit perfectly/easily.
I bought one of these for an EAA Witness
I bought one of these for an EAA Witness .45, and it fits perfectly since the Witness guns are licensed clones of the CZ75 series of guns. It is definitely tighter when locking the slide back, but I haven't had it fail to lock back a single time during firing—a very good, cheap insurance policy against any slide-to-frame wear during recoil.
working fine, eventually
It is molded too big, but that is not a bad thing -- better to need to file some plastic off than to not have enough. After I had installed it, the slide wouldn't lock open. That fixed itself after about 100 rounds. It still takes some compression to manually lock the slide open, but it works fine when actually in use, and I feel it is worth it not to be worrying about the frame getting beat up. Never a single jam because of it. Bottom line, you have to fuss with it at first, but it is worth the effort.
Fits good, and I'm sure it will help lengthen the lifespan of my pistols. I'm using these in an EAA Witness Compact .45 Auto and an older Tanfoglio TZ75 9mm. The 9mm will not lock open after the last shot with the buffer in place unless using hot ammo. Aside from that, I fully recommend it.
I'm up for anything to add to the longevity of my CZ
I'm up for anything to add to the longevity of my CZ, and a Buffer is a Great Idea; the only problem I have is the slide is a bit tough to close; I think as it wears in and Compresses slightly, this will go away, I have a similar product on my 1911 and haven't had an opportunity to see if it has the same problem.
Expected full function and only got half
I installed this in my CZ-75 and, after racking the slide back on an empty mag, had to wrestle with it to release it. This is the 3rd buffer I bought from MidwayUSA, 2 Buffer Technologies, and 1 Wilson Combat Buffer for 1911. Always have issues with the Buffer Techs being too thick; this would have five stars if the thicknesses didn't have to be modified. As far as the Wilson Combat Buffer, that one is flawless, works perfectly. I would recommend Buffer Tech Buffers if your willing to make slight thickness modifications to the product so the full function can be achieved.
I purchased one of these Buffer Technologies Recoil Buffer for my EAA Witness .45, and it fits perfectly. Witness guns are clones of the CZ-75. It is tighter when locking the slide back, but I haven't had it fail to lock a single time again during firing — a very reliable and affordable insurance policy against any slide-to-frame wear during recoil.
performs as promised
This buffer has enhanced recoil control in both my CZ 75B and CZ 85 Combat. Simple to install and a well worthwhile accessory.
