Good firearms cleaning cloth at reasonable price
I used with great satisfaction on three blued finish and two anodized metal and polymer frame guns. Large, soft, very flexible silicone-treated cloth packed in a press lock bag, which works well to limit air exposure when not in use. Works very well for wiping down barrel and other metal parts to remove handling marks and other potential sources of corrosion. The generous size (nearly 18" x 18") allows it to be cut in half (use a zip lock sandwich bag for the second half) and the halves kept in separate gun bags and cases for ready field or range use—reasonable price for an inherently overpriced class of products.
Excellent Gun cleaning cloth
I can't recommend these highly enough! Use them for guns, tools, any precision instrument you wish to protect. The cloths pick up body oil, fingerprints, and minor bits of dirt like a dream and deposit a very thin protective film of silicone which prevents corrosion in storage. Unless you are wiping WAY too hard, or you are trying to wipe an extremely rough surface, these cloths NEVER leave behind lint or anything else besides the silicone film as they are designed to do. I wipe down my carry piece with one of these every time I place it into my gun vault, and I've never seen a single spot of corrosion.
Shine On!
This is a terrific silicone cloth. For those who may be new to firearms, the cloth is not meant for heavy cleaning. It is intended to be used to wipe the gun down between uses and after a good cleaning. I wipe down my EDC at least every other day. It does a good job of removing fingerprints and such and leaving a protective film. I have used it on stainless, polymer, wood, and alloy with good results. By the way, the cloth is NOT supposed to be wet to the touch. You're not looking to bathe the gun, just a wipe down. After using what may seem to be a dry cloth, you should be able to see the difference on your gun and feel the silicone on your hands. Keeping it sealed in the plastic bag from the factory (or in a Ziploc bag) will keep it ready to go for quite some time. I have a can of pure silicone that I use once in a while to recharge the cloth. I keep one in my cleaning kit and one in my range bag. I think that you'll be pleased with this product.
