Works fine on Double Star lowers and has held up pretty well. Only complaint I have is with the buffer that came with mine. The roll pin in it would work its way out some after about 200 shots and would cause the buffer spring to get hung up. Easy fix though I just took a small punch and hammered the roll pins ends some and haven't had a problem since.

Fit and finish were great on this. I got the mil-spec version and the Magpul CTR stock fits spot on. I would buy this again for my next build.

Put a CTR Magpul on the back of this tube... it won't go to the sixth position, fully closing the distance between the lower and the stock... for that reason, I'm going to go with its a shotty product at best, i have completed the lower and would spring the extra cash and get one that functions fully... in its defense it may work with other stocks.

I bought the mil-spec, and it works perfectly with a mil-spec CTR stock. I fully expect it works fine with any mil-spec stock. Be aware of whether your buffer tube and/or stock are each mil-spec or commercial because there is a diameter difference! Yes, the weights do slide around in the buffer... this style of buffer (standard carbine) is designed to do that; if it didn't, there'd be something wrong. You need a powdered buffer or maybe hydraulic if you don't like that, but there can be other issues related to those. The bottom line is this is a very reasonable price for a product that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Great fit on my sundevil and S&W lowers, and the finish is excellent more of an anodized black rather than Parkerized look. Matched them both with MagPul MOE Buttstocks, and there is virtually zero play. Everything, including the buffer, is a nice deep black finish. Have a few hundred rounds through both and have had zero problems and highly recommended.
