While a One-Piece guide rod is a great addition to any 1911 style pistol - easy to install & remove - it turns annoying when changing a heavy recoil spring, replacing a buffer, or disassembling the guide rod for cleaning. The job requires three hands - one to hold the rod, a second to hold the recoil spring plug, and a third place or remove the locking pin. With the RSC, this annoying chore is now simple and easy.
