I did quite a bit of investigation before selecting this tool to remove the OEM forearm on our Remington 870 Wingmaster. This fits the recess inside the OEM forearm correctly, and the teeth engaged the notches in the forearm nut perfectly. Within a few seconds, the nut was removed so I could then install a new Magpul MOE forearm. Besides the fact this tool is all steel (no plastic anywhere), it was very affordable - a true win-win. I extremely recommend this to anyone with an 870 and needing/wanting to swap the OEM forearm for something else.

Great product at an excellent price. Perfect for my purpose. I send one with each of my 12 gauge 870 stock and forearm sets. I was thrilled to find a tool already made for this. It is strong enough to loosen nuts that have been on for a long time needs some persuasion. I plan to come out with a 20 gauge version shortly. If you have one, please contact me. The small packaging makes it easy to ship inside my packages without any particular arrangement.

Lightening fast loosening and removal of the action slide nut on my Mossberg 500. Used it when switching to a tactical forearm. For those doing it for the first time keep in mind action slide nuts are extremely fine thread so be very careful when reinstalling and tightening. Also, if your original forearm is hard rubber or synthetic you will probably leave residue inside the threads of the magazine tube when you remove the forearm. These need to be cleaned or blown out prior to reassembly.
