Customer Ratings & Reviews
Awesome 22 rings
These scope rings have really impressed me. I currently have a less expensive scope mounted on my 10/22 rifle which can easily lose its zero if it gets knocked around. During past hunting trips, my scope has been bumped off zero in the field, but having backup iron sights allowed me to keep shooting accurately without having to return to camp and re-zero the scope. I also appreciate this feature when coon hunting at night since the iron sights are better in low light conditions than my scope, and I can easily switch back and forth as needed. A friend of mine has similar scope rings, but they only provide a small space of about 1/8 inch to view the iron sights under the scope. In contrast, these rings do not restrict my field of vision at all, allowing me to use the iron sights without any difficulty. When I use the iron sights with these rings, they are barely visible, and it feels like they are not even there. I highly recommend these rings to any 10/22 owner who uses their gun for anything other than plinking at the range. However, it is crucial to use lock tight when installing the rings to ensure they don't come loose over time when carrying the rifle on your back or in a vehicle.
Perfect fit for my Ruger 10/22 Takedown
These mounts were purchased specifically for mounting a scope onto a Ruger 10/22 Takedown rifle. They offer a lower profile than using the rail that came with the rifle and allow for easy switching between iron sights and a scope, which was the main reason for buying them. The installation process was straightforward, and all included parts fit perfectly. However, it is important to ensure that the ring mount is aligned with the correct set of mounting holes on the receiver. The rings themselves are noticeably lighter than traditional quick release scope rings. One minor consideration is that, with a scope attached, the Takedown rifle will no longer fit in the original bag it came in. The rifle's width with the new mounts will fit into the larger pocket of the bag, but the overall length will be too long. Overall, these mounts are an excellent upgrade for someone looking to use a scope on their 22 rifle while still having the option to use iron sights for close range targeting. The only thing left to do now is to schedule a range trip to adjust the scope and enjoy the new setup!
