    It uses fiber optics and therefore, the brighter the ambient light, the brighter the dot. Then in the dark, the integral tritium lamp illuminates the dot. The supplied polarized filter which threads on to the front of the Reflex should be used in indoor scenarios where there is the possibility there could be more light behind you than in front of you.
