Trijicon RM04: RMR Dual Illuminated RMR Sight 7.0 MOA Amber Dot

The Dual-Illuminated Trijicon RMR uses fiber optics and tritium to illuminate the reticle. Fiber optics collect ambient light, automatically adjusting the reticle brightness. In situations with no (or low) light, the tritium illuminates the reticle. This version is popular with shooters who prefer a battery-free solution.

The RM04 family has an amber 7.0 MOA dot, which is simple to use and easy to find. The 7.0 MOA dot is popular for those wanting our smallest aiming point in our Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated models.

Features and Benefits of the Trijicon RM02 Type 2:

    • 7 MOA amber dot

Trijicon rm04 is a Awesom Sight

Incredible sight in the daytime. So bright in daylight, some put tape across the top to dim it a little. At night on the rifle, it is fine. On a pistol at night, it is a little dim...about 3/4 bright as night sights. No batteries. Always on when you need it. Never out of batteries. Great sight to put on a pistol with night sights or at the one oclock backup sight position on rifle. Dot is a little big for primary sight. Great for 100 yards or less shooting.

    Works much better than expected

I've owned several different models of Trijicon RMR from the electronic adjustable, to the green triangle dual illuminated, and most recently, this Trijicon rm04. For those who are on the fence about deciding whether to go with the amber or green reticle, I personally highly recommend amber. I find the green reticle to be a total disappointment and much dimmer in all lighting conditions when compared side by side with the amber. The green reticle RMRs are practically useless indoors. When paired with a flashlight, the green thoroughly washes out while the amber is still visible for the most part. However, the electronic red dot RMR beats both in this aspect as it doesn't wash out nearly as much as the battery-free models. When aiming from a low light setting into a brighter setting, the amber dot tends to wash out a bit too, being quite dim but is still visible unless you're in total darkness aiming out a window during the middle of a sunny day. Overall, I'm delighted with the amber dual illuminated rmr.

Mounted the Trijicon rm04 on a ps90 and absolutely love it. it's my second Trijicon red dot and will be the only brand ill ever buy again. Small, lightweight, precise, worth every penny. Don't buy something else to save a couple of bucks you get what you pay for. there is a reason the military uses them

The RM04 Trijicon is perfect for cold weather use...no batteries to worry about. Simple reflex sight for point and shoot situations. The amber dot could be a bit brighter like the other Trijicon red dot sights. Overall, it's a simple, easy to operate sight for a carbine type AR rifle.

Trijicon RMR for your FNP 45 Tactical side arm

I watched a YouTube video about the FNP 45 Tactical semi-automatic to see if I wanted to purchase that pistol. The shooter in the video had a Trijicon RMR mounted on it. I loved the combination, so I bought both. The sight is designed to be mounted on two pistols with the FNP 45 Tactical being one of them. The fit is perfect & took about 5 minutes to mount. It is adjustable in both az & el to match the front sight. I got the 7 moa Dot which is a compromise. You can get a larger or smaller moa Dot depending on your needs. The 7 moa Dot covers the entire front sight on my FNP. With the sight mounted, the pistol still fits in my Blackhawk tactical holster, but I suspect the pistol won't fit in most other holsters with the sight mounted.

    My Rrijicon rm04 review

The Trijicon rm04 is the absolute perfect accessory for the FNP-45 tactical pistol, especially if you have one in black. 7 MOA doesn't obscure the target, and it lines up well with the raised iron sights. The adjustment was dead on after using a bore sight laser. Be sure to use some loc-tite when installing. Now all I need is a suppressor and a holster that will accommodate the pistol with the RMR installed!

    INDESTRUCTIBLE and NEVER LOST ZERO

I mounted this Trijicon rm04 sight first on my Glock 30, then on my Glock 20. It never faltered or lost zero, but I did use Blue Loc-Tite on the mounting screws just to be sure. It gets much brighter under light, and under sunlight, it's the brightest sight you'll ever point down range. Also, the Trijicon RMR isn't blinding in a dark hallway. With a flashlight on the model 20, I never had any issues with the dot being bleached out. I can't say that I've ever seen the sight fog up, or glare in sunlight. I even tried it on a semi-auto 12 gauge, and it performed flawlessly. After getting used to it, personally, the 7.0 dot was a bit too small for my taste, so on my 10mm, 2011, I'll be changing to the Triangle Optic as it will be my carry piece. This sight will never let you down, the man that bought it from me four years ago still runs it on his competition pistol as of today, and he is an absolute perfectionist.
