Sierra 7 Bipod, 7-9in w/ Raptor Feet, Matte Black
The Sierra 7 Bipod w/Raptor Feet offers excellent stability and control for rifles of different types. The Sierra 7 Bipod was created to allow for excellent precision, enhanced stability and overall strength which will add more confidence to firing the weapon while using this product on different surfaces.
For those who prefer using larger caliber rifles for long distance shooting, the Sierra 7 Bipod is a perfect choice. Developed by Daniel Horner, a leading competitive shooter and an active duty soldier, the Sierra 7 Bipod was initially designed with the inspiration from snipers who listed what they wanted to see in a bipod. The information that was gathered included that the bipod should be rugged, durable and reliable. Plus, it needed to have a smooth track, pan and tilt feature along with tension adjustments that will lock when ready. Also, the bipod should not create any “play” in the features that might cause the shooter to miss the target.
The Sierra 7 Bipod was then heavily tested in combat conditions to ensure that it could work properly. The result, Daniel, and his sniper partner Tyler Payne won the 2012 International Sniper Competition held at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Even at the competition, Daniel asks many of the competitors what additional features or adjustments could be made to finalize this already impressive product.
What Makes the Sierra 7 Bipod Special?
Many features make this bipod special, but there are three that stand out.
Tilt: 60 degrees of tilt is allowed, 30 degrees in each direction. Few bipods can match the impressive tilt features of the Sierra 7. No matter the tension on the mechanism, the bipod will tilt smoothly for your convenience. You can adjust the tension of the tilt from completely free to lock down all in a 3/8 turn.
Pan: There is a 90-degree pan radius on the bipod, allowing 45 degrees in either direction. The panning ability of the Sierra 7 Bipod is really unlike that of most other similar products on the market. The emphasis is on precision so that there is no play in the bipod whatever the direction that is chosen. This means that you get smooth tracking and can engage targets or transition from one target to another quickly and easily. You can also adjust the tension lever on the back of the Sierra 7 from free to being locked down so that you can choose what works best for your needs.
Legs: Thanks to the steel tubes, the legs themselves are highly durable and feature virtually no play depending on the environment and setting. The powerful inner spring allows the legs to be set quickly and firmly to rest on the ground.
Feet: The unusual feet or “Raptor Claws” are unique to the Sierra 7. They have been designed to help you lock down your shooting position and “grab” many different types of the surface so that any play is minimized. When locked in the 45-degree position, it becomes easy to watch your trace, an ability that is much desired in all bipod designs.
There is little doubt that the Sierra 7 Bipod represents a real leap forward in technology, durability, and effectiveness, making it the perfect bipod for your needs.
