Sadlak Industries M14/M1A Heavy Duty Front Rail with Internal Nutplate QD Stud (for Harris QD Bipods)

Shown with original USGI sling swivel (not included)

The QD Stud Heavy Duty Model indicated on the left makes use of Sadlak Interior Oval Nutplate by utilizing a couple of socket head screws established on the outside, via the rail’s two counterbored openings.

This model enables the rail’s extraction or substitution without extracting the stock. The first establishment of the interior nutplate might need Dremel work to break the oval plate to the interior surface; this is determined by the stock.

As demonstrated on the right, your first sling swivel for USGI is protectively secured by the rail’s grooves located underneath. The Nutplate is established in the stock’s most dense section.

The interior nut plate provided with Heavy Duty Front Rail is a lot more powerful compared to washers and screws and will carry the extra burden from the bipod without risk of tearing or breaking the stock.

QD Stud Heavy Duty Front Rail (140063) offers you the litheness of linking a Harris bipod style bipod. Each hardware and screws consist of mil-spec. Finish is of Manganese Phosphate. The interior Nut Plate can be propped more by bedding it inside the stock lastingly, by utilizing Devcon Steel Epoxy or other compound for bedding.

Choose your Front Rail based upon your stock style, i.e. Universal, Wood, Fiberglass, Synthetic or Supermatch.

    Sadlak M1a front rail

The dimensions were off for the picatinny rail. I had to file and stone the edges for my Harris bipod quick detach adapter to fit. I tried to fit other rail mounts onto this before filing; and they would not fit either. It fits like a glove now. I needed this rail right away; so that's why I didn't exchange it. I just have to coat the edges where I removed the parkerizing.

    Great Mount

This mount is very solid. The fact that you can retain the original sling swivel is a huge plus. The only downside is that you have to use a dremel to hollow out the inside of most stocks. While easy enough, it's time consuming. When this product arrived, it was missing all of the mounting hardware (internal plate and screws). MSP corrected the problem and sent me the mounting hardware.

Good design, but QC was asleep

I have not yet mounted my bipod but it appears everything should go together well. Construction is good but the screws that came in the package are too short to engage the treads in the internal nuplate. So I had to go buy 2 longer ones, ended up with the wrong size, had to go back again. Now they work - but what a hassle for 43 cents worth of hardware.
