Trijicon ACOG TA31F 4x32 BAC Riflescope - .223 / 5.56 BDC - Red Chevron Reticle, Thumbscrew Mount, Tritium / Fiber Optics Illuminated
The chevron reticle is designed to be zeroed using the tip at 100 meters. The width of the chevron at the base is 5.53 MOA which is 19 in. at 300 meters. This allows range estimation for silhouette targets. Features dual illumination (Fiber optics provides daylight illumination and tritium illuminates reticle at night). The ranging reticle is calibrated for 5.56(.223 cal) flattop rifles out to 800 meters.

This was my first purchase after I bought an S&W M&P 15X. It is almost identical to the one I used while serving in the Marine Corps and is the exact reason I wanted to own it. There are many things to like about this optic: accuracy, weight, and overall durability and toughness. For accuracy, I pulled this right out of the box, attached it, and fired it and the new rifle for the first time. Within ten rounds, I was holding less than a 1' group on my initial BZO. I never had the opportunity to push past the 100-yard range, but at 100, I was holding a very tight group. I have seen the accuracy of this piece of gear when it counts, and if you have quality ammunition, you can push it out to its max range of 800 meters—also, what's not to like about an optic that does not require batteries, ever. I would highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone. Some knocks on it you may have heard about it being cumbersome or not ideal for close-range shooting are only a matter of personal opinion. At 10, 15, 25, and 50 yards, the rounds impact, enough said, where the chevron goes. Finally, rest assured that you receive a great product from both a quality producer (Trijicon) and especially a quality distributor. Believe me; I researched for over a month on where to purchase this and, of course, was extremely worried since this was an expensive piece of gear. Well, Brownells is a registered dealer of Trijicon & will get you this optic quicker than others can. You will see some lead times can be up to 12-16 weeks. If you are thinking about this optic from either previous experience with it, or are just interested in it, get it, it is worth every cent.
