I don't know how this works with the sights on a regular Ruger 10/22, but on the 10/22 Takedown version with a factory-threaded barrel, it is no problem at all to use the iron sights trough the channel in the middle of the rail, unlike the Ruger rail which came with the rifle. The see-trough rail also seems to comply with the picatinny standard, with wide enough groves to accept my first generation Zeiss Z-point, which has a too wide stop bar to work in most weaver rails.

Easy to install. Looks great.

Can see iron sights with scope removed. You will need quick release rings for you scope.

I am very happy with this rail. It gives very good visibility of the iron sights.

I purchased this low profile mount after the one my 10/22 came with didn't allow for use of iron sights unless I un-mounted it. I mounted this, put on a scope and first shots were only about 4 inches off. This is clean milled (no nicks or cuts on it) and it fits nice and tight to the receiver of the 10/22. I even painted it and my scope camo to match the color of my stock and it looks perfect.

I bought this base for my Daughters 10/22 takedown. Using QD scope mounts allows the scope to be removed for storage in the back pack. In a pinch or when the need/want arises she can slap the rifle together and use the open sights. This is a solid mount that exactly matches the shape of the Ruger's receiver. When remounted to the base the scope has returned to zero ~ 1". It is the last rail you will buy for a 10/22. I got 2 one for my Daughter and 1 for my Brother. I need one more.

Perfect for anyone who wants to be able to use the factory sights even when the rail is installed. So get this rail, get quick release rings for your scope, and now you have rifle with back up iron sights.

Fit was perfect, install was easy, just a couple minutes.. had scope on a couple minutes after that.

I bought these rails separately for two different rifles - one blue and one stainless. They were easily and quickly installed and work great.

I purchased this as a base for my 10/22 takedown. I use it with quick release scope mounts (Leupold QRWs) and it works like a dream!
