I bought this for my Maadi AKM. It is a well- made piece of kit, however for the Maadi, the button hole is too low. I filed the top of the hole, but the bottom of the hole is about 1/8" too low for the button to put any pressure on it to hold it in place. Moreover, the break of the buffer hits the dust cover. Totally useless for this rifle but I imagine it would really do well on other AK variants.

will not fit on any AK 47. The mounting screws on the back do nothing to hold it in place. This is a complete waste of money.

Over all I love the design, I did have to file it down some in order for it to fit properly on my century arms ak47. Fits like a glove now. Looks amazing

I was excited when this rail arrived, I was finally gonna get some optics on my amd 65! Unfortunately it was not what I expected.. it took a lot of filing to get it to fit, and the front of it resembles a long finger nail idd like to clip. Why is it soo heavy? Does more weight mean more quality? Not likely since the rail itself is somehow crooked. And thank God for those bolts on the back, I really want to snug it back up after every shot.. I'm thinking about purchasing a dogleg mount soon, not quite sure yet. But at least I have this mount in the mean time to use as a melee weapon. It is sharp.

Wiggles on my maddi ak47 and you have to shave rather the front or pack so it will fit it's just a little to long but other than that looks good and does its job.

I HAVE PUT 2000 ROUNDS WITH MY AK WITH THIS ON ..well first you should put blue threadlocker on all of the screws..after that dont set the screws to far in ...no matter how much you adjust the screws the cover will always move side to side just a little bit..i have shot 100yards and it will still stay in a 3in group....if you could get a side mount i would ..thats what im goin to try next ...

so on the direction it say a little filing but this is false if you a yugo ak-47. it is a good product just beware you might have to do alot of work to get it to fit.

While putting this on the front rivets came out. It's a good concept but poorly made. You get what you pay for

I bought this part for my AKMS, and I was not impressed. I expected for it to take some sanding and grinding to fit but honestly the amount of work was not worth it. After getting it on, it looked great and seemed stable. But as soon as I mounted a light weight red dot sight the cover would completely eject off the weapon after about 3 shots no matter how loose or tight the rear screws were.

While working overseas bought one of these thought it would be a good idea me and the armorer installed it (have to have the armorer there company policy) After about 150-200 rounds it started to lose zero and I noticed wobble in the sight the AKARS from The Parabellum Group is I found to be a much better option.
