    Eotech HHS l (EXPS3-4 with G33 3x Magnifier)

    When it comes to the changing conditions on the battlefield, having the right target range solution is crucial for success. The EOTech HHS 1 offers a solution for targets that change ranges quickly in CQB situations. Whether it is engaging with a target at long range for up close, the HHS 1 EXPS3-4 w/G33 3x Magnifier does the job admirably under many different environmental conditions.

    What makes the HHS 1 unique is the fast transition speed from close to long-range targets as well as the Switch-to-Side (STS) mount. The STS mount is easy to operate and quick to disconnect, which takes away the Magnifier and base when needed. This is compatible with night vision products and offers superior field operational performance in all types of lighting conditions.

    For the M4 carbine, the EXPS3-4 offers a ballistic matching reticle that is tested in battle and provides the traditional circle/dot feature that is shared by the 1 MOA aiming dots that are aligned vertically. This device is calibrated precisely for the .223 caliber ammunition ballistic drop and provides four aiming dots for the following target distances;

    • 0 – 300m
    • 400m
    • 500m
    • 600m

    The aiming dots themselves may not be easily distinguishable from each other unless you use the proper magnification. Plus, the single transverse 123 battery will reduce the sight length also. Also, there are other features that the HHS 1 EXPS3-4 offers;

    • Shortened base requires as little as 2 ¾” of rail space
    • Gen I-III+ Night Vision Systems compatibility
    • NV compatible, w/adjustable locking & quick detach lever
    • O-ring, tethered cap for better sealing of battery
    • Battery life of 600 hours at level 12 setting

    Features and Benefits of the Eotech HHS 1

    • Optics: Parallax free
    • 1x Magnification
    • Unlimited Eye Relief
    • Temp: -40 to 160 F
    • Waterproof up to 33’
    • Fog-proof internal optics
    • Night Vision Compatibility: 10 brightness settings
    • Adjustment Range: + or – 40 MOA travel
    • Adjustment per Click: 0.5 MOA = ½” at 100 yards
    • 1” Weaver Mount or MIL-STD-1913 rail
    • Repeatable to 2 MOA after re-mounting action

    Besides, the HHS 1 offers an anti-glare coating that helps improve overall accuracy under different lighting conditions. The 1/8” solid glass front window is quite strong as well as the 3/16” rear window shatter resistant laminates.

    Overall, the HHS 1 represents the latest in optic technology that is battle tested and can withstand the elements to provide the best in performance.

    excellent piece of gear

    Gear is always a shooter's preference. However, I thoroughly enjoy my EOTECH and have equipped them on all of my rifles. The simplicity and user-friendly design are unique, and when coupled with the 3X magnifier, they are hard to beat. I developed my desire for EOTech while I was contracting; I prefer the ability to have 0X while in a CQB environment, flip-up my 3X when needed. Again, all of this comes down to shooter preference, but if you get a chance, give it a shot, and you'll be hooked.

    This isn't a cheap site... But hey, why buy a precision rifle only to stick a cheap sight on it. I purchased a quality rifle and put a quality sight on it! Now the only excuse for poor shooting could be me... And with this sight, I'm a great shooter! Close range or at 400yards, I hit what I'm aiming at. Quick target acquisition both eyes open for a WIDE field of view, and a reticle that HELPS ... What more can you ask? So yes, it's expensive, but so is a $2k rifle with a lousy scope! I recommend this sight!

    I bought the EOTech hhs 1 and have not once regretted the 90+ hours I had to work to pay for it! It has never let me down. Very easy to set up and use. Sometimes wish the magnifier could be more like 5x, but i am sure they have their reasons.

    Handy Sight for Carbine

    I took my EOTech HHS l to a carbine clinic, and it worked well. For short-range, the magnifier flips off to the side and is out of the way. For longer ranges, I needed the magnification. Even at 50 yards, the magnifier was useful with my middle-aged eyes. The sight is relatively heavy, so some people might prefer to skip the magnifier. It clips on and off easily and doesn't need to be rezeroed, so that option is available.

    Awesome optics

    EOTech sights set the bar for fast acquisition. The EOTech HHS 1 is fast and clean, with both eyes open. I use it on a varmint JP 223 and keep the 3+X sight off to the side. When I have a more extended shot, the rotate to the side is fast enough to go on target. The single moa dot works well with the 3x — not a cheap set of optics but worth the extra money.

    EOTech exps3 with g33 magnifier

    I finally "bit the bullet" so to speak and bought one of these after lusting after them for a few years. I was a bit concerned about mounting it with the front sight still on my AR, but as another person said, your mind's eye will block the sight and focus only on the reticle and target. I thought the reticle was a bit fuzzy at first too, but with the proper illumination level for your eye and with the adequate sight distance, all is very very well done. At the range, close (25 yards or less), targeting is a breeze, and with the magnifier down, shots to 200 yards (my range limit), are no problem, and the targets are clear. Should have bought one year ago...Complete quality product, well made, sturdy and functional.

    performs nicely

    Was going back and forth between ACOG with an RMR dot on top along with the Eotech. After shooting both, eventually went with the Eotech configuration. Installation was incredibly easy. Just an FYI whenever you put in the holographic part, be sure you push down the unit and forwards on your railroad system as you move down the fast release.this ensures you get a solid match and it keeps zero better. Otherwise, while it'll be tight.there's a little bit of space for slop along with a zero shift should you lose the rifle or any other large jolt to the rifle. The magnifier unit performs nicely and is crystal clear. I suppose what I like best is to get short range work. Say 50 yards and not as the magnifier can be flipped over and only the holographic unit utilized. Since both are intended to be used with both eyes open. Theoretically both the Eotech along with the ACOG should be the same; however, I find for close-in type shooting, the Eotech only seemed to have the advantage. Among the most significant benefits of this was that you could reverse the magnifier to the side and use your BUIS without a problem. Without a doubt, if you're going to attempt to shoot 300 yards and much more, the ACOG likely will be a better option, but if I understood it was going to be a 300+ yard scenario, I'd opt for another caliber and rifle. Still, I'd no problem getting hits on 12 steel 100% in 200 yards. A lot of the functionality of the sight system at longer ranges is going to factor on how good your eyesight is at longer ranges. The magnifier is, in fact, 3.25X, therefore hitting a shape at 300+ isn't a problem provided you may see it in the range. I'd say that shooting at 500 or more. Well, can it be possible? Sure, but this isn't the main designed function of the system. For what I consider the use of the AR for, 400 yards and less. And mostly 0 to 300 yards, this is a fantastic system. Another FYI. The four dot reticle does look a little overwhelming whenever you flip the item on.and without the magnifier it pretty much looks like a straight line or a post. Two things here.the unit turns on at par 12. Which is bright. Turning down the brightness helps when utilizing the magnifier. Second. Eotech does say that to leverage the 4 point system you need to use the magnifier. And you do. When utilizing it for close in, I only use it as sight post as opposed to attempting to pick out points and it works great. Besides. The upper point, at least on mine is sighted for 50/200 yards. And me trying to shoot at a target beyond 200 yards.well the magnifier would be in use for sure.
