No. This is a recoil system that replaces your buffer and spring. It is designed to run in an AR-15 with a carbine-length buffer tube.

What’s the difference between equivalent weight and actual system weight?

Equivalent weight refers to the buffer-weight class the system is intended to match in function. Actual system weight is the full weight of the complete captured assembly.

Which weight should I start with?

Start with the included C configuration, then move to H or H2 if your rifle benefits from a heavier setup. If you’re troubleshooting function, change one variable at a time so you know what made the difference.

Will it work with any bolt carrier group?

Most bolt carriers have a rear opening over .60", but a few on the market measure under .60" and may not function with this system.
