1911 Colt Scope Mount WEIG-A-TINNY®
Fits Weaver and Picatinny style attachments
The most rugged, foolproof scope mount ever designed for the 1911 Auto. Attaches to the dust cover; places the scope forward, over the top of the slide for improved balance and faster sight or red dot alignment. Lightweight, rugged mount won't flex , even when used with major power factor loads. Enhances reliability, does not interfere with ejection. Clearance cut for Colt, Enhanced Slides. Includes installation instructions and Allen mounting screws.
Accepts Weaver and Picatinny style rings. 4-1/2" in length, 6061 T-6 Hardened Aluminum, silver or black, matte anodized finish, weighs 2 ounces. Fits 1911 Auto and clones, Government length frames. Can be easily adapted to wider frames with standard length dust covers.
*Installation of this scope mount requires drilling and tapping of frame.
It also requires removing material from the front of the slide stop.
Rounding the slide stop off even with the cross pin.
Please ask questions before purchasing this mount. We do not suggest amateur installation. Depending on your pistol, ejection and extraction adjustments may need to be made.

1911 mount fit the predrilled holes on my Les Baer 45 (drilled and tapped for a weaver mount). Only issue was the mounting screws were too long for the thickness of the frame and interfered with the function of the gun. Screws had to be shortened for the slide to function properly.

I had Mr. Wiegand attach this for me on my Colt Gold Cup 1911, and mounted an AimPoint Red Dot on it - it worked like a dream.
