Mesa Tactical Urbino Benelli M1/M2/M3 Stock with Limbsaver Buttpad and Cheek Riser 12-GA, Black)

This Mesa Tactical Urbino Fits The:

    • Benelli M1 12-GA
    • Benelli M2 12-GA
    • Benelli M3 12-GA

The Urbino Tactical shotgun stock, named after the city in northern Italy where Benelli Armi SpA is headquartered, is a fixed-length shotgun stock made in the USA from injection-molded glass-filled nylon. Developed to meet the needs of law enforcement and military operators, the rugged Urbino Tactical shotgun stock features a "tactical" 12.5" length of pull (LoP), soft urethane rubber grip, optional Limbsaver butt pad, optional adjustable cheek riser and a variety of flexible sling mounting options.

The Urbino Tactical shotgun stock is also comfortable, thus reducing operator fatigue, especially during prolonged training and qualification sessions. The urethane rubber grip is padded at the rear to reduce recoil impact against the web of the operator's hand, and the optional Limbsaver buttpad substantially reduces felt recoil.

The field-adjustable cheek riser was developed to provide superior cheek weld when using optics. The cheekpiece snaps onto rails molded into the sides of specially equipped Urbino stock armatures. In the event of optics failure, the cheek riser can be quickly removed or readjusted to a lower level. Specially-developed Mesa Tactical SureShell shotshell carriers can be fitted to the cheek riser. While rail-equipped Urbino stocks can be used without the cheekpiece, cheek risers cannot be fitted to stocks that do not have the rails.

All Urbino Tactical shotgun stocks include Benelli-style rear sling loops for 1.25" sling webbing. In addition, a hole at the lower rear of the stock accepts QD style sling swivels (not included). Urbino Tactical shotgun stocks can also be fitted with any of a variety of optional steel pocket sling mounts similar to those offered for our Remington telescoping stock adapters. Pocket sling loops, hook loops and push-button sling swivel mounts that fit securely between the Urbino stock and the shotgun receiver.

    Urbino for a M1S90 HK/Benelli

    4 out of 5
    Location:
    Date: December 6, 2022

Shortened LOP greatly improves handling; especially for average build shooters. So much better/faster to shoulder than with the OEM stock. An absolute must for the Benelli when wearing body armor. With the HK M1S90 and no optics, you don't need the cheek weld riser so now you have the ridges on each side for nothing. The rear of the pistol grip is a bit square but for me wasn't a deal breaker. Lastly, although the fit is great, there's a gap between the rear of the trigger guard and the pistol grip that doesn't effect performance but just doesn't look good either. This may only be the case for the M1S90 and not the other Benellis. Bottomline: The Urbino greatly enhances performance and that alone makes it worth it.

Four months and lots of rounds later, I can't imagine shooting the Benelli without the Urbino stock. Shouldering and overall handling is greatly improved. The cheek riser does work comfortably with or without optics. Mesa makes some of the best Benelli M2 Accessories.

    Awesome Benelli M3 Stock

I put this on my Benelli M3 that I use for 3 gun. Great stock looks factory and feels better. But pad clicks into place and allows you to store extra shells in the stock or wrenches or tools or anything else you may want to put in there that will fit and allows easy access.

    Urbino Buttstock M1/M2 and M3

I purchased this stock for a Benelli M3 to shorten the length of pull, and it is precisely what this shotgun needed! Fit and finish is great. Felt recoil on HV loads is noticeably softer. So far it seems to be a great product.

    Benelli M2 Pistol Grip Stock

Well made stock, very functional. Decreased LOPIs perfect. Beware of the install, however. My brand new M2 Tactical required some work to make it fit. The M2 comes with two different possible recoil tube plugs, the stud at the end of the recoil tube that the stock bolts to. The Urbino stock requires the stud that's threaded back. My M2 Tactical with pistol grip had a stud that was the only threaded part way. Mesa Tactical was helpful. Two ways to fit the stock. ... Drill the hole in the mount larger and place a spacer that Mesa will send you, or order the correct recoil tube plug and replace it. I opted for the latter. It requires heating to loosen the Loctite, but ultimately that plug had to come off anyway in order to clean the recoil tube periodically. After the change, the stock fit it perfectly.

Perfect fit on my Benelli M2!

Perfect fit on my Benelli M2! I found myself looking at the back of my receiver with the factory Benelli M1 stock. Now with the Mesa Tactical Urbino Stock, I can adjust the comb. It worked perfectly and only took 15 minutes to install.

Mesa Tactical stock, Limbsaver, cheek riser

    4 out of 5

The stock is mounted on a Benelli M1 Super 90. It feels like a quality piece; sturdy, nicely finished, cheek riser mounts solidly. Could pass for a factory item. The recoil with slugs used to be painful, the Limbsaver pad has cured that. Of course you can feel the recoil, but it is no longer a factor. The cheek riser is in the lowest position and locates the ghost ring sights perfectly. I have read comments regarding the gap between the pistol grip and trigger guard. The largest space (at the bottom of the trigger guard) is about 3/16" and does not detract from the aesthetics of the gun (the gap on the factory stock is close to 1/8"). The middle finger never gets close to the gap. My two criticisms: 1. The pistol grip angle is about 5 degrees more vertical than stock, 2. The M1 receiver is "slabsided" but the stock is designed to mate with the more contoured M2 receiver. Thus, the lower corners of the M1 receiver protrude about 1/8". Not noticeable at a glance, but definitely visible upon closer inspection. Neither of these two items have any operational impact, just minor gripes. The stock is not perfect, but pretty close.
