A nice thin front sight blade makes it easy to see a 4-inch bullseye at 100 yards. Lightweight, low profile, all-metal. I have two sets on rifles and will buy more as I need them. Magpul doesn't make junk! Buy both, front and rear, as a set.

High quality, All metal construction, adjustable elevation by hand/ no tools needed, a very positive hinge mechanism, low profile, nice fit and finish, very tough, and when paired with a MBUS Pro adjustable all steel flip-up rear sight- perfection. The price is expensive but, I think these sights will last the lifetime of the firearms they are installed on.

For the longest time, I was using the Magpul polymer MBUS sight set pretty much like most everyone else, and I've had a love/hate relationship with them. I loved that they would spring up and somewhat lock in position and are VERY durable, but I didn't care for the sheer bulkiness of them. When I saw that Magpul started selling a STEEL folding sight set I had to check it out. First, off you will notice how slim & trim they are with nothing hanging off the side of the rails. They are also very lightweight and they fold VERY flat!! I am now able to have an optic mounted directly over my rear sight without needing to remove the rear sight. The front sight "locks" into detents but will move free if bumped with enough force. That is actually a good thing to prevent damage. Also, the sight pin itself is a little smaller and presents a much more precise aiming point. It's also now fingering adjustable, so no more special tool is needed to make adjustments. The only gripe that I have is that I can't read the writing for which direction I need to turn the knob to raise the sight because the lettering is very tiny. I wear glasses, and I still can't read the lettering. Overall the sight and the set are excellent and present a great sight picture. Yes, they are pricy but compared to other steel sights, you will find that they are the same or even cheaper than others.

I use this Magpul mbus pro front sight on a Rugger SR556e. This is good as a set for back up sights, but I would not use this for a stand-alone iron sight, just a backup. It can be a bit difficult to adjust elevation. Also, it is slightly tricky to snap up into position. But all of these cons may go away with some time and more use. Overall its excellent quality and works well out to 300m on the range.

Love the quality of this AR sight. I put it on my latest Aero Precision AR-15 build. The fit and finish of the magpul pro sight is perfect, and it looks outstanding on the front of my Atlas S,one 15 inch M loc handguard.

Magpul pro front sight This is a much lower profile than I expected. I bought it to complement my Magpul MBUIS rear. However, I expected that they would be roughly the same size, and was really surprised to see how small the Pro version was. It fits on top of my Adams Arms gas block. Therefore it needed to be steel to cope with the heat. Very positive up and down. A bit harder to deploy as you have to tug on it to get it to move, but it only takes a bit of getting used to. What I don't like about it is that it rests against the rail when not deployed, and I imagine that can hurt the finish below. Also, since there is no lock in the up position, it CAN be knocked down, unlike the YHM or others. Finally, there is no Quick Deployment button or lever on these AR Sights, and you have to swing it up manually. All-in-all, if you know these are going into it and don't expect it to have those features, you'll be alright.

The MBUS Pro front sight has a Great fit and finishes, very strong detents on all moving parts, seem tiny in comparison to the standard mbus's, yet are the same height when folded up. These AR sights are a little pricy, (still less than most comparable models) but in my opinion the best option out there.
