AccuShot BT13-QK PRM (Precision Rail Monopod) Mid-Range with Quick Knob Option

Inspired by the Magpul Precision Rifle Stock (PRS), the new Precision Rail Monopod (PRM) is a new mid-range model that offers a number of applications with most centering on the Picatinny Rail such as the folding vertical foregrip.

The PRM has become the second version that falls in the same line as the ASAI. The popularity of the latter was because it was proven to be very useful for a number of reasons such as the push button deployment and the retraction feature. The PRM takes its cue from the ASAI and starts with its construction which was crafted from T6061 aluminum with a hard anodized finish. The internal components of the PRM are made from alloy steels and are heat treated for extra durability.

The thumbnut on the PRM allows you to jam the knob and remove any tolerance that is found between the male and female threads. This give you a very solid platform for shooting. Plus, it is very easy to fold up the legs and get them out of the way. The elevation is approximated from 4.5” to 5.85” and the Quick Knob allows for faster acquisition. The PRM has a black finish and is made in the USA.

In addition to its other features, using the Quick Knob allows you to make gross adjustments to the target itself all with the single push of a button. By pushing down on the spring-loaded button, you can slide the knob up or down along the actuator rod. No w you can create the sight picture you want and when you release the button, the threads are re-engaged so you can make subtler adjustments by rotating the knob until you reach the desired position.

Features and Benefits of the AccuShot BT13-QK Precision Monopod:

• Elevation Range: 3.75 – 4.65”
• Folded Length: 3.85" approximate
• Weight: 7.4 ounces

Quick Knob-Standard Alternative

The Quick Knob can also be used to create a stable platform by addressing all the tolerance that is experienced by the shooter. The Quick Knob replaces the standard knob found on the BT05 and BT13 platforms and provides roughly the same range in terms of elevation. Created from T6061 aluminum with a hard anodize finish, the entire product including the steel threads are designed for great strength and durability. The Quick Knob is a definite improvement to your weapon and will be installed if you order the Accu-Shot monopod before delivery of the item.

Real handy for a precision rifle

I bought this product for use on my Ruger Precision Rifle. Before deciding on which height to buy, it's a good idea to install your bi-pod first to determine the correct one. It only has an adjustment capability of about 1 1/4" but, when mounted, is rock solid and folds up and out of the way for trans and storage. The push-button feature also comes in handy for significant throw adjustments and then locks it in place with the knurled wheel.

Attach two different sizes to my RPR's, AR's and a 10/22 pending on target elevations. You can easily dial in a desirable sight alignment quickly and rock steady. It folds out of the way for a clean carry or packing into a gun case.

The monopod helps me quickly set up my rifle at the 200-yard range. It's lightweight and easy to adjust. I think the price tag is too high for this item, but I couldn't find anything similar (no one makes a knock-off copy). If you have a Magpul PRS, you will ultimately need to get one.

I have a cumbersome .308 AR10 setup, complete with 26" barrel and a Magpul PRS stock. While the rifle was accurate when I did my part, holding the stock exactly where I needed it was very difficult, even using a rear bag or similar setup. I purchased the mid-range PRM model and installed it in seconds on the Magpul PRS. With the press of a button, the BT13 accushot monopod flips into place, and you can quickly get on target with the monopod by pressing another button and sliding the whole unit up or down until you're basically on target. Then twist the accushot monopod with your left hand, and your crosshairs will slide up just millimeters at a time until you are exactly where you want to be, and it's a rock-steady hold, no worrying about a bag shifting. This monopod does not flex when it is locked into place. After I take a shot, I'm usually off a bit again because the recoil moves the rifle, but not by much. A quick turn of the BT13 accushot monopod base, and I'm right back on target. I love the solid, smooth feel of this monopod with it's knurled grip, and the flat black finish matches AR-style rifles perfectly. My only complaint is that now and then, when you push the button that allows the accushot BT13 to deploy or collapse, the button will not go in, and you have to wiggle the monopod slightly; then, it will go. I suspect this is due to very tight machining and might resolve itself over a bit of use. When you don't need the Picatinny rail monopod, fold it up out of the way or remove it altogether. This is a reliable, well-made piece of equipment, and I'm pleased with my purchase. I expect this will serve a very long time on the stock of my rifle.

Solid, near-perfect monopod

Bought the AccuShot BT13 for my Sig 716 with PRM. What a hoot.......how does it help, let me count the ways.....First, with a bipod, the third leg can be used to shoot or as the neatest handhold ever......Equally important, when you go empty or stop, you plop it down and, the gun remains pointed downrange, not gangling all over, falling on the ground/floor, or looking half at a ceiling or the sun. Last, there is always some Failure to "something happens on these AR's.......with this little goodie you sit it down, you've got a level gun that's not giving you gas pains while you try to hold it and, pull that CH or whatever........that right there makes it worth the money. Safety, comfort, and making problems are much easier to work thru. It's well built. If I could have one more thing, I ask for a QD level, so I could quickly shift it from gun to gun.......don't know about others, but when I go to the range, I usually take two to three pieces with me. This think makes for good shooting, almost as good as my Caldwell full control lead sled.......but, not quite, but, you don't have to haul that lead around either. Because of the above, I just ordered a PRS for one of my 300 blks, another bipod and, yup......another AccuShot monopod!

This monopod added the perfect finishing touch to my AR-10. It took a little experimenting to get the gist of how to make adjustments, but once I got the hang of it, finding the sweet spot was easy. It's very well-engineered, and is easy to fine tune. I'd buy another if the need arose. Thanks for a great piece of gear!

the precision of accuracy

I ordered the Accushot BT-13 monopod with quick knob to go on the bottom rail of my Magpul PRS stock that is on my Rock River Arms AR. This rifle is the 24" bull barreled A4 Varmint model, and is quite heavy. I have a Harris bipod frontside and this monopod in the rear really helps level the rifle out and sits it up nice and level enough to accurately get a precise steady aim on various neighborhood "objects." As far as the actual quality of this monopod, I would have to say that it is very well designed, and the developers did some great engineering on it. It locks in on the bottom rail very nice and tight. The pushbutton quickknob option is very precise and smooth, the jamb / lock nut locks the knob at the desired height very nice also. This knob's fold down lock button is so tight that you could actually use this monopod as a vertical foregrip on a quad rail, etc. If you are looking at this product and are even considering buying it but just can't make your mind up on whether or not you want to drop a c-note on it, quit thinking and just buy it. I just wish my Harris bipod was as steady as this monopod.

I put one of these on my Armalite Super SASS. In combination with a Harris bipod it really is firm platform when engaging targets at further distances.
