    Great Laser and Light

    4 out of 5

Works great. The green laser is highly visible with Light on and off, Light has blinding brightness. The reason I gave it four instead of five stars is that you have to remove the Laser/Light from your gun to replace the battery, which then causes you to have to re-sight the laser aim point. I've used the Light and laser quite a bit and haven't had to replace the battery yet, but even if it runs a long time, having to re-sight it each time you replace a battery will be a pain. Expense is another detractor.

    Great Choice

I put this on a Glock 41, and it works exceptionally well indoors in lower light conditions. The green laser is easy to see with the HL light turned on, and it's a very accurate combination in low light. It didn't take long to zero the laser at 12 yards, but because there is no indexing (clicks) on the adjustments, you can't really get a perfect zero without great patience and lots of ammo. Good enough isn't too hard to achieve. I tried the green laser outdoors on some steel plates and was disappointed. I could see the green dot on the plates, but only if I stared for a while. The front fiber optic sight was far better than the green laser, even in cloudy conditions. Still, I like the options. The light, the laser, or the fiber optic front sight should work in pretty much every condition. I also ordered the remote trigger and was very happy to see that it fit on the Glock 41. A dropped and offset blade-tech holster was a very pricey addition, but it works great with the gun and light/laser combo. I had no problem drawing from that holster at a steel plate match.

It works well on Colt M4 and is a right choice for a combo unit. I leave it set to white light/laser since when I deploy it from my patrol car I do not want to think about if it's set for light or laser. I wish it wasn't bulky, but not bad. It gets rough treatment in and out of the car before and after a shift. So far it's all good.

They are mounted on Glock 19 used for home protection. Light and laser are both extremely bright with easy activation. Always buy quality, reliable products when your loved ones are counting on you.

I have had this on a 223 AR platform for a while now. After sighting in,it has remained dead-on (if you know what I mean). The distance both the light and laser will astonish you. Great product and excellent quality. It gives you a lot more time to shoot when you want.

Best option I could find for a tactical shotgun!

Retired, and with a new RV, we travel a lot. Anyone who drives from state to state will confirm that current gun laws are dangerous for travelers, so I need to be careful about what goes in the van for personal defense. Shotguns being legal almost everywhere, I thought that would be a great option for use on anything from big bears to large cats to two-legged predators, so I opted for a Remington Tactical 870. Thinking about how it might be used, I opted for the Streamlight TLR-2 HL G green laser and tactical spotlight and absolutely loved it! I added a rail to the top of the receiver and mounted the Streamlight on top of that. Although it looks a bit wonky mounted upside down (hey, Streamlight! How about offering one specifically for shotguns mounted on top?), it still functions as I expected it would. The activation switch was a bit too far away from my finger to use the temporary on/off function, so I changed out the battery tailpiece and added a remote switch pad with a coiled wire and mounted that on the left side of the slide. I had moved it a couple of times (you can see it's zip-tied on), but I'll make it permanent as I like it where it is now. I can use laser, light, or both effectively in the day or pitch-black night. The momentary on allows quick acquisition of the target, and the laser is bright enough to make out shapes at night without the light, so it would work great for big predators if ever needed. And I can tap the switch twice for a blinding strobe (instant headache and blindness!!) or hold it to scan. And it is so bright....but even with the light on, I can see that green dot! I carry Brenneke Black Magic slugs for the really big four-leggers who might want to eat me in the middle of the night, and Remington magnum 00-buckshot for smaller predators and "two-leggers" if I ever need to protect my wife and me. It's legal almost everywhere, and that Streamlight will stand up to the extreme recoil better than my 61-year-old shoulder! Great insurance indeed!

    tlr-2 hl® g gun light

I got this for my KelTec KSG... At first, I thought it was a bit expensive, but when I finally got this, I was immediatly blown away. The design and craftsmanship are superb. NOTHING flimsy about this at all... Now, this being said, I put in the batteries which were included. I did a test with this aimed against a wall; the light was so intense it was like when it snows the night before, you walk outside then walk back inside and have that temporary blindness. I can see taking this to the range, and my paper targets catching on fire... "little joke, but it IS super bright, though"... The top switch on the tail cap "batteries" allows for either momentary on/off on the left side, and right offers continuous on... The little metal toggle under the tail cap allows you to choose if you want the upper switch on the tail cap to use either laser, light, or both laser light... The laser is nice and crisp. I'm glad I went with the green laser; I couldn't be happier... Just a word of note, one is on the front gets very hot very fast but not bad, but was expected for such a bright light... secondly, it is recommended that you DO NOT use the remote door switch and pressure cap for this particular light... This isn't a problem with me because on my Kel-Tec ksg my forward grip keeps my hand close to the lights controls at all times with just a single simple stretch of my finger, and I'm good to go... You probably could use it, but the instruction manual said it is not recommended... Also added, this light comes with a really nice and unique rail key drive lock, with some different adaptors that are clearly marked for different type rails, one for blocks, one for standard picinittny rails "1913" and two others... This helps ensure that the light stays in place and does not move or slide during recoil when firing your piece... But the rail drive lock system has a small nut in the center that you can replace to cause the threading for stabilizing the part "each adaptor has a little machined cavity to slide the nut into and make sure nut is flat side down before reinstalling"... Awesome design actually but when taking off to change rail locks make sure to keep upside down as so the nut doesn't fall out, and if the nut doesn't fall out for you, there is a small square hole on top of each adaptor so you can punch the nut out with another smaller Allen wrench which is also supplied with this, but using a nut instead is much nicer, so the part itself cant get cross-threaded, that happens, get another matching nut and your good to go... But this also comes with the required Allen wrenches and a spare nut. Very simple to change... Along with providing two batteries... To clamp the actual light to a rail is a lovely designed bolt with a thumb screw-like design, so you can tighten with your thumb, but it also allows you to use a screwdriver if you require a little more torque, but you shouldn't need to... To change batteries, you must take this light off your rail because there is a switch that flips up and rides under the rail itself when mounted, which ensures your tail cap will NOT accidentally pop off... I would absolutely buy it again!
