This is a very bright light. It also has a strobe and laser. I use it on my Ar 15. It has a very bright light that lights up the peripheral as well. Pricey but does the job well. I just wish the strobe was more comfortable to lock in the on position.

I was looking for both bright light and laser. Having both in one unit is nice. I bought the TLR1/TLR2 Contour Remote for a Glock 17 as well to have instinctive activation. It works fantastic. The unit fits the Glock perfectly, and simply pick up the firearm, and the light and laser are on (if you select that option). The light is very bright (blinding), and the red laser is plenty bright for a nighttime bump in the night.

I own this product and use it on two very different weapons: a .45 Acp and a 12 gauge tactical shotgun. I am always amazed at the battery life of this unit. It stays put, is on target, and has a fantastic battery. I can't possibly feel better about this product because it does what it's supposed to do. .

I purchased my TLR-2 at the end of 2012 and still enjoy everything about it. I agree with the first reviewer about the bright strobe that will surely daze or temporarily blind any nighttime intruder in front of it. So comforting to know I have almost all I need to check any disturbance like this. Everything works easy enough and looks fine on the M&P. I had a small accident and broke the "rear keeper lid" for the battery. I kept putting it off, getting it fixed. Finally called Streamlight Customer Service and explained my dilemma. A very nice lady took care of my problem with a new "keeper lid" and at the cost of "zero" to me. I told her I was thinking about the Green Laser for my next purchase, and here I am back again like I told her. I'm going to buy nearly the same model, only with the green laser this time. Quality and Service should count for something!

I took a chance when purchasing this flashlight/laser combo, and I'm glad I did. It seemed a little pricey at the time, but after reading other reviews and determining "you get what you pay for," I made the purchase. The flashlight is super bright, so much so that if I use it momentarily in a dark room, I even blind myself. Hopefully, if I have to use it on a bad guy, he won't be able to respond before I do. The flashlight works either independently or in concert with the laser. I can't imagine why someone would purchase a laser/flashlight combo and not use the laser, but the option is available. The toggle switch that controls the laser (flashlight only or laser/flashlight together) is conveniently located just in front of the trigger guard. The paddle to turn on the configuration you've selected is also conveniently located to allow all operations to be controlled with one finger from either side of the trigger guard. For a right-handed shooter, push up on the paddle for momentary illumination or push down the paddle for constant light and laser. For a left-handed shooter, just the opposite will work, down for momentary light and up for constant light. I've had to respond to one "bump in the night," and I'm really glad I had this on my M&P 40. Luckily no one was in my house, but it is comforting to know I've got this light when I have to check out a dark house. I want to make sure I've identified my target before pulling the trigger. I highly recommend this laser/flashlight combo; it is definitely worth the investment.
