Trijicon AccuPoint TR20-1: 3-9x40 Riflescope Standard Duplex Crosshair w/ Dot, 1 in. Tube

The Trijicon AccuPoint TR20-1: 3-9x40 Rifle Scope from Trijicon is known for being one of the newest innovations in the world of Rifle Scopes. Designed and produced by Trijicon, the AccuPoint features a Mil-Dot crosshair reticle along with an illuminated center dot. This Rifle Scope is nothing short of brilliance and is illuminated through a series of high-quality fiber-optics and tritium, thus providing a crystal clear aiming point without the unnecessary need of batteries. With advanced tritium and fiber-optic aiming point illumination, the AccuPoint with Mil-Dot Crosshair Reticle allows for significantly fast target acquisition and without the use of batteries, allows for extended periods of shooting hours. The specially designed dual-illumination fiber-optic system is capable of automatically adjusting aiming point brightness to cope with the existing light conditions that you choose to shoot in. The AccuPoint Rifle Scope from Trijicon provides hunters and shooters  both optimum aiming point illumination and reticle & target contrast. With this ultimate combination, this scope provides lightning-fast precision aiming in any form of lighting conditions without failure-prone batteries.

There has most certainly been significant interest from enthusiastic shooters with regards to the Trijicon Rifle Scopes range and the AccuPoint TR20-1G: 3-9x40 Rifle Scope from Trijicon appears to be exceptionally popular with many shooters.

One of the primary areas of interest when it comes to Trijicon scopes is their self-illuminating amber dot in the middle of the reticle. The self-illuminating dot is specifically augmented by a unique fiber-optics during daylight use. Whatsmore, the AccuPoint features a fast focusing eyepiece, 1/4 MOA windage, multi-coated lenses and elevation adjustments, along with a tactile bump situated on the zoom ring. It may also be worth mentioning that lens caps are also included with this scope. The aluminum alloy tube is fashioned in an anodized matte black finish, which makes this appear very slick and modern. The scope itself comes with fairly conventional specifications for a single one-inch main tube hunting scope that features a 40mm objective lens.

The tritium lamp featured on the scope comes warranted to glow for up to fifteen years from the original date of purchase, before being replaced by Trijicon themselves!

One of the main advantages of the Trijicon Accu-Point is its lack of batteries. Without the use of batteries, it means that the illuminated reticle feature will never fail due to faulty or dead batteries. The lack of batteries means eliminating the entire need for battery housing and other bulky and unnecessary associated parts which means a much lighter scope in comparison to those which require batteries to function. Along with no battery housing, there are also no buttons to push and nothing to switch on during low light shooting sessions, as the amber dot is designed to automatically be there when you need it most.

During daylight hours, the amber dot can be made as visible as you decide to make it. There is also an exceptionally easy to use integral shroud which allows you full control of the fiber-optic brightness. Just by examining the fiber-optic under artificial lighting indoors does not do it justice at all. Outdoors, the fiber-optic is incredibly clear and bright. Although many models of this scope come with an amber dot, you can also choose from other coloured reticles, such as a green or amber dot, a Mil-Dot crosshair with an illuminated center dot or a triangle reticle.

An additional problem with an abundance of rheostat illuminated reticle scopes is typically that the reticle is far too bright and cannot be reduced to a non-blinding setting. Thankfully, this isn't a problem with the Accupoint. In low-light or even during the night in complete darkness, you have a dot that you need in order to precisely place a shot without the dot becoming too distracting or blinding.

Even though the AccuPoint from Trijicon isn’t entirely classed as an entry-level scope, especially with an average retail selling price between $900 and $750 (when discounted), it’s incredibly well-made, has exceptional image quality and works exactly the way you need it too. The AccuPoint can be considered unique among its competitors in the magnified optics market, however the far lighter weight and lack of batteries provides a considerable amount of appeal when compared to the far more common LED illuminated reticle scopes currently available on the market. If an exceptionally high-speed target acquisition is essential to you in low-light and low contrast lighting conditions, then the Trijicon AccuPoint is most certainly worthy of your consideration.

Trijicon's triumphant performance when it comes to battlefields across the globe effortlessly translates to your success when hunting and shooting. The AccuPoint 3-9x40 Rifle Scope is highly recommended to most enthusiasts with its venerable variable magnification range that is guaranteed to deliver the flexibility to shoot in dense brush or even across open fields with minimal effort. Sighting during night time conditions is incredibly enhanced by the sights notable 40mm objective, while the dual fiber optic and tritium reticle illumination system allows for a vibrant aiming point under any type of conditions.

Both rings and a mounting base is required in order to attach this riflescope to your firearm and is guaranteed to provide a comfortable high-quality sight picture that is contingent upon the overall height of the rings. Mounting the AccuPoint close to your firearm’s receiver is preferable, yet scopes which feature much larger objectives may require higher rings so the front bell can safely clear the barrel. Please remember that in many mounting applications, it’s often recommended that a professional gunsmith may be required for correct and safe installation.

Purchase this scope for use on a coyote rifle (Remington R15). It has excellent clarity, and the fiber optic works very well in low light conditions. The green dot is fantastic.

I hunt in middle Georgia - thick mature hardwoods, thickets, and big fields. This scope does it all. Early and late - put the dot ( I have green and amber) on the deer, and it's all over. Scope is clear and bright. I like simplicity and things that work without unnecessary gimmicks.

I put this scope on a .378 Weatherby, so far, it has held up to the recoil no problem. Then this rig went brown bear hunting in Alaska, it took ten days of pure abuse skiffs, back pack, nonstop rain. No problems.

    The best by far

I will be buying more of these as the clarity, amber dot, which makes a dramatic difference,& low light performance make this my favorite scope by far. Even works well hog hunting at night with a half-moon or more with no other light
