The TA31RCO by Trijicon is designed for the M4 and M4A1 weapon systems that use a 14.5” barrel. The Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG) uses dual illumination technology that combines self-luminous tritium and fiber optics for maximum efficiency. Because the tritium is used, it means that the aiming point will always be illuminated whether the batteries are in place or not. Even in total darkness you will see the aiming point and the fiber optic will self-adjust the reticle brightness under all types of lighting conditions for maximum visibility. With this technology, you can keep both eyes open while engaging the target and maintain your situational awareness at the same time.

The TA31RCO is designed to fit the exact specification as dictated by the US Marines, including the reticle patter that provides for a very quick acquisition of the target at close range while offering an enhanced identification of the target at ranges out to 800 meters thanks to the Bullet Drop Compensator.

You do not need to use any tools for adjusting windage or elevation thanks to the external adjusters of the device. In addition, the TA31RCO is waterproof up to 11 meters without the caps which means that it can withstand the elements. There are also mounting bosses which are integrated into the housing itself by the eyepiece. This allows for the addition of the Trijicon RMR which is not included with this kit.
