    Surefire G2X LE Dual-Output LED

    • The stripped-down, ready-to-rock, LE light
    • 600 lumens at high output, tailored to reach far into the night/15 lumens of low output to facilitate administrative tasks
    • Rugged polymer body — easy handling in extreme weather conditions

Answer The Call. The SureFire G2X LE is a value-packed tactical light specifically designed at the request of Canadian law enforcement agencies, and it’s tough enough to meet the needs of cops around the globe. Its rugged polymer body is easy to hold with a bare hand even in freezing temperatures, while its high-performance LED generates a max output of 600 lumens focused by a parabolic reflector for significant reach and ample surround light to provide the situational awareness critical in law enforcement. The 15-lumen low output extends runtime while producing ample light for less critical tasks, but its click-style tailcap accesses high-output mode first to maintain its tactical edge.

Features of the Surefire G2X LE

    • Two output levels — high for maximum light, low for extended-runtime
    • High to low output sequence initiated by a momentary press or full click of the tailcap
    • Virtually indestructible LED emitter is regulated to maximize output and runtime
    • Parabolic reflector creates smooth, optimized beam with plenty of reach and surround light
    • Tough polymer body and Mil-Spec hard-anodized bezel
    • O-ring and gasket sealed for waterproof and weatherproof reliability

    Alt Description:

    • Surefire plastic flashlight
    • LE flashlight
    • Surefire g2x law enforcement

For the size and the price, this is a great flashlight. Very well made and heavy-duty. I like the diameter and the weight, and the dual output is awesome.

Before purchasing these types of flashlights, you need to consider the conditions in which you will use them. I got the older Surefire 6P (single output incandescent) years ago before the LED bulbs came into full use. The LED bulbs are MUCH better overall. I then purchased Surefire Fury (dual output - first click is low, second is high). Then I got a Fenix PD35 TAC (various outputs including strobe) followed by this one, the Surefire G2X LE (dual output - first click is high, second is low). In terms of home defense, the G2X LE is better with the first click being on a high. In terms of a more focused beam, the Fury wins that designation. If I had a home intruder, I'd want the G2X LE in hand. At night when the dogs are barking at something on the farm, and I want to see better, I'll usually pick the Fury. So, as I said - think about what you want to do with it and choose the flashlight with the best features.

Pistol Has No Rails No Problem

I have some Old Revolvers and a Colt 1911 and have no rails to mount Lights. Then a friend of mine from the AirForce SF gave me the Idea of this SUREFIRE Flashlight, and because it's so little, I can use it, on one hand, to light a target in front of me and the other to hold my Pistol like in Law enforcement and I was Sold to the Idea and have used it ever since. This little Flashlight has a button on the back to press when you're aiming at target and release it when not in use. This is a GREAT Product. Thumbs Up.

    Surefire G2X LE

My first cr123 flashlight. I've wanted one for a while but didn't want to spend the money. Well, my sister gave me a gift card which meant this flashlight didn't cost me anything. The Surefire G2X LE flashlight itself is a lot brighter than the Maglite flashlights I am used to. A nice wide beam pattern with a good throw. I have dropped it a few times and it still functions. I thought Surefire was 100% made in the USA. But according to Surefire themselves they are not.

    Dependable and durable

I mostly use light in my profession. It's a handy, compact size, but bright enough, I've never needed more. E.G., I shine a light on serial number plates in the back of the server cabinet or use it to distinguish the jack I need to plug into. I look for cable I.D.s under a raised floor. I have it with me in a holster almost always, and I use it nearly every day. I bought this one to replace the yellow G2 that had given me excellent service for many years. This first one worked perfectly until I took it apart to clean. The water from cleaning caused the inner barrel to corrode. I abraded what corrosion I dared and got it working again by putting anti-seize where the tail cap screws onto the barrel. It didn't work well so I went shopping for a replacement. This law enforcement model was the brightest and had the desirable tail cap switch. (The yellow one, I turn on and off by screwing and unscrewing the tail cap; I've never liked that.) While I waited for delivery of the new black G2x, my old yellow G2 began working correctly again. I actually prefer the old yellow G2 for poking around in the backs of equipment because of the chance of encountering power. (If you've never shorted a 48-volt telecom battery string, it's the same current and voltage as a D.C. arc welder. If you have shorted one, no explanation is necessary.) The yellow G2 has all plastic exposed surfaces, so it can't arc. This black G2X LE has an aluminum head that could short out the electric power. SureFire strongly recommends against putting an LED lamp into a plastic head because the plastic doesn't dissipate heat well. With the original incandescent lamp, you want to contain the filament's excitement because heat is what makes it work. Heat is the enemy of semiconductors, so you want to transfer the heat as rapidly as possible from the LED; aluminum's great for that. I ignored the recommendation on the yellow G2 and replaced the lamp with an LED. I avoid leaving the flashlight on for extended periods. The LED has never failed in spite of my heavy usage. Bottom line, it's a remarkably dependable tool.

Very bright on high. I like the tail switch with momentary push-on and click-on for the steady beam. High-quality construction should last a very long time. Will use up batteries like any high-lumen flashlight but is worth it. I bought mine on sale, so it was an excellent value.

I've owned several flashlights from surefire and other manufactures, which is one of the simplest and easiest to carry and operate. The tail cap button is soft yet positive and makes switching from low to high easy and fast. On high, the 400 lumens is perfect for tactical/ LEO use. Not having a belt clip or lanyard point makes it smooth and snag-free. Anti-roll head helps keep it in place if you need to set it down as a work light. Overall its the perfect daily carry light for me, and I have had no issues with it to date.
