The G2X Tactical is a compact yet powerful polymer-body flashlight designed specifically for tactical use. Providing simplicity of operation and tremendous illuminating power in a small package, it uses a high-efficiency LED-virtually immune to failure since there's no filament to burn out or break-to generate a brilliant, penetrating, perfectly pre-focused 320-lumen beam. The G2X is activated by our classic tactical tailcap switch-press for momentary-on, twist for constant-on. The tough Nitrolon polymer body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip and resists scratches, abrasion, and corrosion. A polycarbonate micro-textured reflector delivers a comparatively wider beam with generous peripheral light. We also make an aerospace aluminum-body version of this light, the 6PX Tactical, and a dual-output version with a two-stage click-type tailcap switch, the G2X Pro.
Virtually indestructible LED emitter regulated to maximize light output and runtime
Tactical tailcap switch-press for momentary-on, twist for constant-on

CMD MOD-C - Shotgun Flashlight Mount
The Patent Pending Multi-Optional Design Clamp is finally available again in a new design and fits the new Surefire G2X and the Surefire G2 ( 1.025" diameter) and included spacer to fit 1'' diameter lights. This superior, light weight clamp is small and compact enough to reduce your shotgun profile so it reduces hang ups and snags. The light mount has been moved out a bit for even better light control. Steel threaded inserts means no stripped threads when tightening the clamp down. There is only one screw to tighten and you never have to remove a rail or sling swivel dock to remove the clamp. All tools are now included. Weighs 1.7oz.
Machined from 6061-T billet aircraft aluminum, engineered for weight reduction and designed for a low, factory looking profile.
The mount looks very well made. it is finished very nicely with no sharp edges, the paint is a little semi gloss not bad but wish is was a little flatter. It clamps on to both the shotgun and the light very tight and both will stay put through a lot of use and abuse. My only complaint is not so much about this mount in particular but to this type of mount. When you cycle the action you obviously have to break contact with the light and I find it difficult to reacquire the button on the light when working the slide quickly. I will keep practicing with it and see if it gets any better but think I might switch over to a Sufefire forend. Hope my point of view helps.
After having previously used a less expensive flashlight mount on another shotgun, and after looking at a lot of options for a flashlight mount on my current Remington 870 HD shotgun, I'm pleased to have found this mount from CDM. It has a great finish that complements the finish of the 870 and other quality components, has an excellent fit against the barrel and Wilson Combat magazine extension, and gives a clean and compact look to the muzzle end of the 870; it's nice not to have bolts and clamps hanging off the shotgun as do some of the other available flashlight mounting options. It's tough under recoil too, as this mount isn't moving even after several magazines of 3" 00 buckshot and 3" 1 oz. rifled slugs. The adhesive pads to protect the finish of your shotgun are a nice touch. If you care about uniformity of components, this CDM mount has a very similar contour to the Mesa Tactical sidesaddle ammunition carrier; the two look great together. Finally of course, the Surefire speaks for itself!
After days of searching the internet for a light and mount for my shotgun I came across this setup. I wanted something that was dependable, light weight and extemely compact, at an affordable price and this unit delivers it all. This is definately the best light and mount for the price.
