Magpul took their old design and made it even better for this gun. One cool thing is that the gun with the new stock still fits in its bag. The stock has some neat features like adjustable parts to make it fit just right for you. It also has places to attach other things like a scope. I tried shooting with it and it worked really well, even from far away. The stock feels good to hold and makes the gun look cool. There's a lot you can customize with this stock. I think it's worth the money and a great upgrade for the Ruger 10/22.

This Ruger Takedown 10/22 stock fits very well. The only downside is that I had to sand down a lip in the back of the stock so I could get my kidd 2-stage trigger to fit correctly. There is also some wobble of the receiver, but that is in all 10 22 TD, but I quickly fixed it with a cut card sized to take up the slack.

I got this Magpul Stock along. It is a quality product that fits great. My only complaint is that I now have two barrels that I want to use with my 10/22. I don't always want to use the suppressed barrel. It would be great to have both barrels setup to work with this 10/22 takedown stock without having to switch all the hardware back and forth. I did purchase the parts from Ruger to install on the spare barrel for the takedown operation but, when contacting Magpul about purchasing a separate fore end for the factory barrel I was told I would have to purchase a complete setup to get just the fore end, it wasn't available separately.

I went from the Multicam factory stock to a Hogue and then this Magpul. Material difference is rigidity, fit and ergonomics. Spend the extra 40-50 dollars and buy the Magpul. 2 barrel channel options- I added a Volquartsen barrel with ease Mlok- having other Magpul gear I dropped in a QD and pic rail. Cheek riser- Magpul is smart! They made the riser the same as their shotgun stocks, so I dropped in the riser that came with my 590a1. This provides proper alignment with the SWFA 6x and works great.

I got this Magpul hunter x22 stock for Christmas, and I love it. It is so simple to swap out your old 10/22 stock with this one. I am thrilled with the look it gave my 10/22 when it was all done.

If you are taller/broad-shouldered, the extra LOP will be appreciated. Plus, with the 1/2" cheek riser (extra) is perfect for a high scope mount (I have to clear a suppressor). The Ruger 10/22 takedown Magpul hunter x22 fit and finish are excellent - my ONLY gripe is the flex of the stock when the LOP is extended all the way. Very flexy side to side. I wish the engineers at Magpul had a cam over butt plate retention bolt to "suck down" the stack so the stock could be a little stiffer.

This Magpul hunter x22 takedown stock is well made like all Magpul products with nice fit and finish. Nice adjustability and good tight fit on the receiver. I haven't seen any change in accuracy, but I have not tuned the stock with the barrel tensioning screw in the forearm, really like this stock on my 10-22 takedown.

This Magpul 1022 takedown stock is a great lightweight stock and you can read the other reviews about it. I would like to address the teeter-totter effect that other reviewers have listed in their reviews. The teeter-totter is caused by an under-sized lug at the back of the stock that is used to engage the back of the trigger group. This is easily fixed by making an aluminum foil shim and setting it in the back of the stock. I fixed mine in about 15 minutes and now it is rock solid. Thank you Magpul for a great product and thank you MSP for excellent service and prices.
