Great remington 700 long action stock,,was shipped fast and received in short order,, I did not need any parts to remove the old Remington 700 stock and replace it with the new magpul stock,, however as a word of caution,, to use the plastic clips for the stock there is a inner plastic sleeve where the clip slides into the stock that has to be removed,,., the stock that I received was made for the metal clips.. that inner sleeve is the difference between metal clips and plastics clips... keep it and use both types...

For the price, you just cant go wrong with this Magpul hunter 700 stock. I own high end stock made by Manners, McMillian and AI all costing 4 times what this stock costs. This Magpul stock is rugged, well balanced and finished nicely. Has plenty of features built in. Loving it so far. It will NOT fit any of the M5 style DBM systems out there. I tried both a BAD_DBM and Badger DBM system and both were a no-go. Looks like Magpul designed it to only work with their magwell that's soon to be released (hopefully). It also ships with a polymer insert for the magwell so you can use a standard Remington bottom metal/trigger guard. It comes with a LOP spacer system ( 4 spacers included ) and ships with the "medium" comb height insert. If you need to go lower or higher on the comb you will need to order the additional risers. The risers for the SGA work with this stock. Overall its a home run for Magpul!

I installed this remington 700 magpul stock stock on a SPS tactical 20" .308 and the fit was great. After several range trips I have no complaints. The ergonomics are spot-on and the rifle has maintained its accuracy. 1/4" groups with handloaded .308 ammo were no problem.

I wanted a somewhat lightweight stock with a magazine option and this magpul 700 hunter stock long action fit the bill. I have higher end 700's and have used HS precision B&C stocks as well as manners. while this isn't a manners stock it is just as good if not better than the lower end hs precision or B&C stocks in my opinion. To the guy that said he has a gap in his factory bottom metal, it comes with a spacer you have to install before you put on the factory bottom metal. my magpul stock has zero gap with this spacer.

remington 700 magpul stock I bought a new AAC-SD .308 and replaced the Hogue stock with this Remington 700 Magpul stock. I also bought the Bolt Action Magazine Well, which comes with one PMAG 5 7.62 AC Magazine. The stock swap took less than 10 minutes and everything fit perfectly. The total for all of the above and a Timney trigger was barely over $1,000 and I'm very pleased with the results.

I ordered the remington 700 long action stock to replace the one on a Remington 700 ADL in 300 WinMag. I coupled it with the Magpul LA Magnum mag well, and it dropped right in. I have the sporter profile barrel, and there is a whole lot of room between the stock and the barrel, but due to the stock's profile, I would not say it detracts from the overall look. Plenty of room to change it to a bull barrel in the future too. I drilled my stock for sling studs. It was easy enough, although if you have a tap for threads, I would recommend it. It's a hard material to put a sling stud into. I did not have one, so I put the stud into the chuck of my drill, and that worked just fine too. Sturdy but light, it completely changes the dynamics of the rifle without adding a ton of weight. Shipping from the sender was a little slow to get out, but at a discount from other vendors, I don't mind that point. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a high-end stock that doesn't break the bank.

I have a Remington 700 ADL I bought in 1998. I have harvested more than a few deer with it since. But I was never really happy with the stock on it. I also never liked loading from above. Mainly unloading was where I had the issue. You had to cycle rounds through the chamber to empty the magazine. Saw the Hunter 700 stock and decided to make the change. I bought the bottom metal from a separate site, not finding it on Amazon. The change-out was fast and easy. I have been to the range twice with it now and really like the way the gun handles, and I am eating the center of the target out.

It just came in today. From first impressions, this is an awesome stock. It does not feel cheap. The barrel is floated and the action rests entirely on aluminum. So far I'm very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this stock to anyone with a Remington 700.

Installation of the Magpul 700 long action stock was straightforward with the included instructions. I installed it on my Remington 7mm mag, which had the basic black Remington stock on it. I took the rifle out and shot it at 100yd the next day, didn't notice any change in point of impact. I think it really improved the way the rifle handles. The stock is the perfect stock for shooters like me, where the rifle is mostly used for hunting whitetail deer and very rarely target shooting. It allows me to get a semi-adjustable store for a reasonable price.

This is an excellent replacement stock and was very easy to install. I had a Nightforce scope mounted on my rifle, but with the rings and Picatinny rail, the cheek weld on the original stock was too low. This stock has a higher cheek pad and is almost perfect. The recoil pad absorbs the recoil of the shot beautifully. My only concern was that the stock is not drilled for a sling mount, but it is dimpled in the appropriate locations for mounts to be attached. All in all, I'm happy with the this Remington 700 la stock.

I purchased this stock to replace a factory plastic stock on a Remington 700 ADL in 30.06. The Remington has a TImney trigger installed and required removing a section from the Remington stock interior to fit with the Timney trigger properly. In turn, the Magpul stock required a corresponding section of the aluminum chassis to be removed to allow installation of the barrel and action with this trigger. This was easily performed with a Dremel tool. Once completed, bolt up was simple and secure. The Magpul stock comes with the length of pull spacers, and they are easily installed. The barrel is entirely free-floated, and the recoil pad appears perfect for the job. Also installed was the Magpul trigger guard and magazine well. Again, the installation was easy, and function testing with dummy rounds prove the magazine functioned as expected, both feeding and extracting correctly. I have not yet had a chance to fire since installation, but foresee no issues.

I am loving this hunter 700l stock. Didn't go looking for it. I wanted a magazine conversion and figured having the matching stock would probably make for an easy install. It was. I have never changed a stock, and I think it honestly took me less than 10 min. It's incredible that now I don't have to free float or glass bed my factory stock. I love the all-black look. The cheek rest is super comfortable. I highly recommend the magazine with it. Chambering a round from the mag vs. the factory top load setup is much more smooth. There used to be a felt bump as I pushed the bolt forward when the round would pop free of the factory setup. Now it's smooth all the way. If I had to complain, I would say it would be cool if the bolt could be removed without removing the cheek rest. Minor complaint, though, as I don't mind one flat head screw is added to the cleaning process. 100% recommend this product to my best friends and strangers. I understand there are a few issues with certain models so read up on your specific model. Mine is a 7mm rem mag bdl.
