Aimpoint addresses the weight issue with their Micro T1 Red Dot Sight which is crafted from lightweight, durable materials and only weighs 3.7 ounces. Despite its relatively small size, it still has the features that shooters demand.
The casing is crafted from hard-anodized materials which make it very durable and resistant to the elements. Inside the Micro T1 Red Dot Sight is advanced circuitry that will work continuously for up to 5 years without turning the device off. Since it is in constant operation, you can use it immediately without having to wait for it to fully turn on.
There are eight different settings for daytime use which makes the T1 excellent under most types of lighting conditions. In addition, you can mount the T1 on many different types of hand guns, rifles, carbines, submachine guns, and even shotguns.
The band-pass coating on the front lens reflects selected types of red light so that the red dot will appear clearer. That feature improves aim and your overall performance. In addition, the same coating allows both the near infrared and infrared light to pass through clean which boosts the abilities of any night vision equipment used with the T1. The sight is compatible with night vision, magnifying, and thermal systems. It also includes four different settings for night vision which makes it work very well with the third generation of night vision devices.

The Micro R1 and H1 are separated only by their color. The Micro T1 is compatible with night vision devices and carries environmental specs different than the R1 and H1 versions.
