The SABERTOOTH MK1 features solid aircraft-grade aluminum construction, precision machined for a drop-in fit to nearly all variations of the time-tested SKS.
The versatile platform allows users to adapt their rifle to any configuration. Standard AR-15 pistol grips and buttstocks can be added, and the stock has unlimited mounting options of accessories on a rigid aluminum quad rail hand-guard.
The beveled mag-well facilitates rapid reloading of standard “duck bill” style detachable magazines. The SABERTOOTH is recessed at the rear of the receiver to allow the optional addition of a top rail over the receiver.
THE most asked question about the Sabertooth-MK1 is always in regards to magazines.
The chassis is designed to work with removable “duckbill” magazines, as pictured. These are commonly available from manufacturers such as Tapco & Promag.
They will work with any SKS without modification to the original rifle.
The Sabertooth-MK1 will not work with:
We do not recommend modifying the chassis to accept any of these magazines, although we understand some customers have done it. We are unable to warranty the product once modified.
In certain countries, states, or municipal jurisdictions, converting a firearm to accept detachable magazines may be illegal. It is the responsibility of the customer to know the laws where they live. We cannot offer legal advice or guidance.
We only recommend using the Matador extended magazine release as we have not had any luck fitting other aftermarket magazine releases of the “AK” type.
Other brands of magazine releases may fit, but we cannot guarantee this as we have not tried all the other brands, and we cannot keep up with the various versions.
