Evolution Gun Works made this mount specifically for the 220 Slug Gun. We took our Long Action mount and shortened it to allow for the use of a shotgun scope. This should alleviate issues with the bell hitting the front of the scope mount on the regular Savage Long Action Scope Mount.
This mount comes standard with a bevel on both sides making it ambidextrous.
Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. Our one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike.
We machine these in our shop using one of our machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability.
Installation: We recommend 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately).
We recommend:
0 MOA - if shooting 0-500 yards
20 MOA - if shooting 500-1000 yards
When zeroing your rifle with a 20 MOA mount, we recommend zeroing at 200 yards.
The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA.

Nice quality savage 220 scope mount and excellent customer service from MFG. Be aware though, that this will NOT fit the newer styled 220 Savage. While the front side of the mount has a rounded shape to fit the rounded shape of the action, the rear side of the mount is FLAT (squared) to fit the flat spot on top of the action of the older savages. The new savage is rounded all the way through and does not have a flat landing on top. So this will fit the older style with the flat landing in the rear of action, but not the new style that is rounded all the way across the top of the action.

Excellent scope mount base for the Savage 220. The fit was exceptional. The shortened length helps with mounting shorter scopes, like the Hawke Endurance LER slug scope, to the 220's long action. Although it still takes a little fine-tuning. The mount is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
