Delivering high performance and precision, the Hipertouch EDT2 is an exceptional upgrade for the AR-15. Standing for High Performance Touch and Enhanced Duty Trigger, the Hipertouch EDT2 is an exceptional adjustable trigger that delivers the fire control upgrade that everyone has been waiting.
This is because the EDT2 solves two important issues with the stock triggers that have a high weight and low fall energy for the hammer. The high sear impingement force that produces the friction levels and low hammer fall energy have been solved by the Hipertouch EDT2.
The simple, elegant design retains the robustness expected with AR-15 triggers while forgoing the grittiness of the feel. This allows the weapon to be fired with much higher accuracy and no longer do the trigger and hammer have to be polished to improve performance.
The EDTs are made to deliver a higher performance all for a low, competitive price. For law enforcement, competitors, and hunters, the EDT2 works wonders over the stock trigger thanks to the minimum pull weight of just 4.5 pounds. In addition, there are other advantages with the EDT2.
User-Adjustable: The trigger can be either 4.5 or 5.5 pounds just by changing out the hammer springs.
Sear Designed Paradigm: This will result in a very smooth pull with a tiny amount of creep.
Mil-Spec Hammer Fall: The Mil-Spec springs are actually heavier than the stock springs so that the hammer will strike fast, smooth, and clean.
Faster Lock Time: The EDT2 offers a faster lock time than the stock springs resulting in a better performance overall.
\The Enhanced Duty Trigger offers those in the military, law enforcement, competitor, hunter, and home defender a more reliable, better working trigger than its stock counterpart even under adverse conditions. The EDT2 was designed to work in all types of environmental conditions time and time again. This is because the fine debris and carbon fouling that can accumulate at the bottom of the disconnector slot found in stock triggers may cause the disconnector to jam at a crucial moment. This will impede the performance of the semi auto function.
However, the EDT2 trigger slot has holes running along the bottom so that the disconnector itself actually self-cleans by pushing out the debris and carbon fouling so that the function of the disconnector is not compromised. In addition, the underside of the trigger has been raised along with the end being moved up and away which increases the gap clearance. This means that if debris from whatever source should go through the ejection port when shooting while prone, the potential jamming of the hammer reset is minimized thanks to this remarkable design.
