However, the EDT2 trigger slot has holes running along the bottom so that the disconnector itself self-cleans by pushing out the debris and carbon fouling so that the function of the disconnector is not compromised. Also, the underside of the trigger has been raised along with the end being moved up and away which increases the gap clearance. This means that if debris from whatever source should go through the ejection port when shooting while prone, the potential jamming of the hammer reset is minimized thanks to this remarkable design.
